coming back to this for a second. i think ayton has a very obvious value in the playoffs as a center who can neutralize small line ups. i thought in the finals last year going up against a team that had guys w/ size and skill to match him he wasn't great, especially when he was on defense giannis pretty much dominated him. booker put up two hyper efficient 40 point games and another 30 pointer, he was clearly the better and more important player in that series. i think in a first or second round series they can find enough scoring where booker's value seems more ambiguous and ayton can rack up double doubles, but in finals level series i don't think there's much question who they need more. certainly, based on how they've treated ayton's contract situation, the suns don't think it's even a debate

heat playing like they did ambien as a pregame team bonding exercise, not sure embiid took more than 2 shots in the paint

one of my favorite NBA butterfly effect moments in recent history is what the east would look like if the heat had taken maxey instead of precious in the 2020 draft. there was a lot of buzz about maxey and the heat bcuz they had gotten two kentucky guys in bam and herro in back to back drafts but they passed on him. i think maxey would prob be on the raptors due to the lowry trade but lord knows what state the sixers would be in without him
