yeah great season for the wolves they def have something to build on, feel like as the lad matures him and kat should settle into natural complimentary 1-2 scoring roles, dlo is def a problem he doesnt defend and has subpar playmaking skills they really need a more all around guy for their number 3 if they can trade him that would be very good and resigning him could be disastrous, overall their roster is pretty soft they need more defense size athleticism good stuff like that

good summary UMS. you’ve got the guy who’s a no doubt keeper and that’s the most important thing. definitely a season to celebrate.

bucks offense with middleton was bad against the shitty bulls d theyre gonna need giannis to go absolutely thermonuclear vs the celtics or hit a bunch of 3s or something

that series could be a major slog baby

lag∞n, Saturday, 30 April 2022 16:08 (four years ago)

I give the bucks about a 20% chance to win w out Middleton.

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Saturday, 30 April 2022 16:26 (four years ago)

yeah something like that

lag∞n, Saturday, 30 April 2022 16:27 (four years ago)

D lo is a classic 82 game player, as they say, not a 16 game player. That Wiggins+ a pick (Kuminga) trade is looking like highway robbery but if it kept kat there then I guess it was worth it?

Really cool wolves season overall. Plenty to look forward to for sure.

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Saturday, 30 April 2022 16:30 (four years ago)

"No NBA" is trending. rip NBA it was fun while it lasted

ciderpress, Saturday, 30 April 2022 17:22 (four years ago)

Middleton is really great especially vs. the Celtics but the team does play pretty well without him on the court, especially defensively. The problem is it’s gonna be like those Warriors/Cavs finals where the Bucks may have the best player but of the 10 best guys the Celtics have like 7 of them

frogbs, Saturday, 30 April 2022 18:56 (four years ago)

yeah and also while the normal middleton lineups with patty c instead might be fine youre gonna end up giving minutes to deeper bench guys than you really want to or just play yr main guys too much

lag∞n, Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:07 (four years ago)

which is usually the way with injuries its not the guy who fills the injured spot you worry about its the guy who fills that guys spot, unless you happen to be really deep at a position like the celtics were losing rob for the first round horf theis and grant soaked up all his minutes and theyre all good players but thats pretty rare

lag∞n, Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:11 (four years ago)

Right I think George Hill also being out could also be a big deal but I actually don’t know if he’s any good as a bench guy anymore

frogbs, Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:12 (four years ago)

yeah bucks are looking at a lot of connaughton allen mathews minutes and tbf all those guys could play good but they also could not, maybe see some carter and nwora too i guess which is getting pretty shaky

lag∞n, Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:16 (four years ago)

prob try to go huge with lopez-portis-giannis lineups some to limit those end of the bench minutes

lag∞n, Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:19 (four years ago)

Sounds like Lonzo might have serious knee problems. Really sucks

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:23 (four years ago)

yeah you never want to see that

lag∞n, Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:24 (four years ago)

everyone thought the pels decision to not resign him was really bizarre but i’ve been wondering if they saw something in his medicals that scared them off. the fact that nothing about that ever leaked out of new orleans when ppl were piling on them early in the season makes me think not, but it seems at least plausible. he did hurt the same knee when he was in LA

J0rdan S., Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:57 (four years ago)

there’s gonna be real expectations for minnesota and new orleans next year based on how the first round went and i’m interested to see how that goes given that the west figures to be much better next year. utah will probably drop out of the mix so that opens up one spot but a several other teams are getting guys back.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 30 April 2022 19:59 (four years ago)

Gentleman.... it's official

Owner Alex Rodriguez and his Minnesota Timberwolves have a really bright future. They will be a championship contending team for years to come!

yeah going into it next year as of now you only have two teams you know are likely to be out of the hunt in the rockets and thunder.

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Sunday, 1 May 2022 00:26 (four years ago)

and probably the kings, i mean lets be real here

terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Sunday, 1 May 2022 00:31 (four years ago)

most likely yes they traded their best young prospect for sabonis so you know theyre going to at least try for a few months

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Sunday, 1 May 2022 00:36 (four years ago)

u always lose a couple teams to injury

lag∞n, Sunday, 1 May 2022 01:03 (four years ago)

theyre always in the last place you looked

terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Sunday, 1 May 2022 01:05 (four years ago)

Yah who knows what the blazers are trying to do as well

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Sunday, 1 May 2022 01:08 (four years ago)

the lottery is gonna be huge this year. NO, POR, and SA all could get much better very quickly if they move into the top 3.

terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Sunday, 1 May 2022 01:28 (four years ago)

welp

ESPN Sources: Joel Embiid won’t travel for Games 1 and 2 in Miami, but there’s optimism he could return as soon as either Game 3 or 4 in Philadelphia. He needs to clear concussion protocols and see doctor mid-week on his orbital fracture. More on NBA Countdown at 12:30 ET on ABC.

is there some reason neither of today's games are in prime time beyond 'abc didn't want to preemt american idol'?

lag∞n, Sunday, 1 May 2022 18:09 (four years ago)

bucks give you all of these mediocre early shot clock 3s and you just cant take them, unless theyre good looks which sometimes they are, shot selection is crucial v them

lag∞n, Sunday, 1 May 2022 18:12 (four years ago)

The Celtics attempted 28 threes in the 1st half, their most in a half in their playoff history. @ESPNStatsInfo
