i can’t believe i posted that we could “safely” say the grizzlies had their hands full in this series immediately before the wolves allowed a 21-0 run to leading to one of the worst losses imaginable

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 02:22 (four years ago)

lol

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 02:23 (four years ago)

The Grizzlies were down 25+ points TWICE and still found a way to cover (-2.5) 😳 pic.twitter.com/aVslI1UYkQ

pat bev really hacked up some bricks from three during that comeback

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 02:32 (four years ago)

big early leads like this are really hard to sustain tho, cant let off the gas

Brutal loss that you can almost blame fully on the coaching

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Friday, 22 April 2022 02:33 (four years ago)

He was driving and trying weird stuff at the rim too. With kat russel and ant on the floor it’s uncalled for

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Friday, 22 April 2022 02:33 (four years ago)

shouldve stuck to just running around

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 02:34 (four years ago)

rudy not doing much for his DPOY argument

symsymsym, Friday, 22 April 2022 02:53 (four years ago)

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 02:54 (four years ago)

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Friday, 22 April 2022 03:01 (four years ago)

60% from 3, you gotta tip your cap

k3vin k., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:02 (four years ago)

impressive display of zero defense being played by either team here in utah

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:10 (four years ago)

when the mavs have bertans on the floor they should just leave him on the offensive side of the court the entire time. not sure their defense would be any worse and he’d at least be open off a miss

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:12 (four years ago)

KAT asked about getting 4 shots tonight

"Next question."

Probably tells you his true answer

— jace frederick (@JaceFrederick) April 22, 2022

why does KAT have to “get” shots

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:13 (four years ago)

For the same reason that opposing teams want to deny him getting shots?

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Friday, 22 April 2022 03:16 (four years ago)

if KAT can’t get his teammates to “allow” him to shoot more than 4 times in a playoff game it kinda confirms everything ppl say about him

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:21 (four years ago)

it seems like gobert has quite literally been played off the floor in this game

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:21 (four years ago)

they put him back in wouldve been funny if they benched him and won tho

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:26 (four years ago)

i think they might have to go back to that paschall line up

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:27 (four years ago)

they did lol

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:34 (four years ago)

max player chillin on the bench in crunch time of a playoff game

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:34 (four years ago)

man brunson is frying these guys

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:34 (four years ago)

benching gobert helps with their spacing but does not solve the none of their guys play defense problem

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:36 (four years ago)

now gobert is back ok

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:36 (four years ago)

KAT is an embarrassment

call all destroyer, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:36 (four years ago)

yeah

benching gobert helps with their spacing but does not solve the none of their guys play defense problem

yup. conley has no shot on him

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:37 (four years ago)

Brunson’s explosiveness is kind of amazing

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:37 (four years ago)

KAT said this in the 2nd quarter while being up 22, the Timberwolves have blown two 20 point leads since

the jazz would be really good in the playoffs if the corner 3 areas of the court were replaced with lava

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:39 (four years ago)

lmao

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:40 (four years ago)

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:41 (four years ago)

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:43 (four years ago)

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Friday, 22 April 2022 03:46 (four years ago)

do have to wonder if this series even makes it back to utah. i feel like they’ll prob win game 4 but the jazz might just actually give up at this point

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 03:47 (four years ago)

ainge courtside looking shook couldve just played golf danny

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:48 (four years ago)

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 03:50 (four years ago)

lol harlan being debased by saying GIRLS. GONE. WILD. in the bumpers

Clay, Friday, 22 April 2022 04:00 (four years ago)

for some reason whenever he says it he sounds like a guy at a bar in daytona beach on spring break who is 15 years older than everyone else there and asking college girls if they like to party

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 04:02 (four years ago)

RIP nuggs

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 04:49 (four years ago)

its realy sad they were a bummer

k3vin k., Friday, 22 April 2022 05:12 (four years ago)

I complain about Barton but it is kind of unfortunate that he has embarrassed himself so much down the stretch of this season. If the team was healthy he would just be playing 20mpg and it wouldn’t be so glaring or pivotal

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 22 April 2022 06:12 (four years ago)

it's too bad they don't have a second good player

symsymsym, Friday, 22 April 2022 06:17 (four years ago)

hollinger:

Through 20 playoff games, the league is averaging 24.0 foul calls per 100 possessions and 25.8 free-throw attempts per 100. To put that number in perspective, the foulingest team in the league in the regular season, Detroit, only committed 22.2 fouls per 100 possessions. And the most free-throw happy team, New York, only earned 25.0 free-throw attempts per 100. Basically, every playoff game now feels like a regular-season game from the James Harden-era Rockets.

...

So it’s true that fouling goes up in the playoffs every year, reliably, with basically no exceptions.

But not like this. The extent of the increase is usually much smaller. Over the past 20 postseasons, the difference has ranged from a 16.3 percent jump in 2010 to a mere 2.5 percent in 2016; last season’s postseason saw FTr increase by just 3.6 percent, and we haven’t had a double-digit increase since 2013.

Seen that way, the 21.0 percent jump in FTr is unprecedented; the average increase is only 8.7 percent. Even relative to a normal playoffs, we’re seeing about four extra free throws over the course of a game. The last time we had a playoff free-throw bump of a magnitude this large was in 2010, and it still wasn’t quite as large as the one we’ve seen in 2020. Here are how the last two decades look, for your entertainment

bad

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 14:58 (four years ago)

on the other hand

In researching free-throw rates, I was fairly shocked to discover the FTr in these playoffs is still actually lower than every regular season from 2003 to 2011. The changes have been slow and insidious, with the needle often moving just a percentage point or two each year, but the pace-and-space era has shoved the league in such a free-flowing direction that even with a gigantic jump in FTr, like we’ve seen so far in these playoffs, it still pales next to the games we saw just a decade ago.

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2022 15:00 (four years ago)

The end of the dubs nuggs game was unbearable for a while there. Just trading FTs every possession.
