frogbs, Thursday, 21 April 2022 04:18 (four years ago)

bucks not looking real sharp

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 04:21 (four years ago)

jrue had a decent look for a three when they really couldve used one and just had no intention of shooting dumped it inside to a doubled giannis

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 04:23 (four years ago)

Yeah because he had that same look a minute prior and bricked it badly

frogbs, Thursday, 21 April 2022 04:28 (four years ago)

that was a pretty bad brick tbf but still the bucks need him to take the shot

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 04:32 (four years ago)

by kyrie: 1

by kd: 0

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 21 April 2022 08:25 (four years ago)

fwiw his last season in boston he had amazing first game in the 2nd round vs the bucks then dogged it in four straight losses and never looked back, he has a player option next year

This is what Kyrie sounded like when he was tanking playoff games in Milwaukee during his last year here 😭 https://t.co/WVycnhFpbD

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 13:19 (four years ago)

said it before but doesnt seem like kyrie cares for playing in the nba that much

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 13:20 (four years ago)

he floats above it all... just asking questions, making observations, which teams are rising and falling, things of that nature

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Thursday, 21 April 2022 13:25 (four years ago)

hes played 103 regular season games over the last three seasons

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 13:29 (four years ago)

when we gonna get an update on Middleton

frogbs, Thursday, 21 April 2022 15:34 (four years ago)

why are there no games in the good conference tonight

ciderpress, Thursday, 21 April 2022 15:40 (four years ago)

I’ve been thinking about how Kyrie is sort of like Maravich, this guy with personal demons and more finesse skill than a sane person can have maybe

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 21 April 2022 16:30 (four years ago)

would be pretty funny if this was in a sweep

Brooklyn Nets three-time All-Star Ben Simmons plans to make his season debut in Game 4 vs. Boston on Monday as long as rehab remains on course, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Simmons is set to play his first game since June 2021.

play 12 minutes in the season

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 16:39 (four years ago)

the timing of the return is just the perfect kicker to the bizarro simmo season

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Thursday, 21 April 2022 16:44 (four years ago)

nets asked themselves the question can a team of all weird malcontents work and when it did not they traded for another one

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 16:50 (four years ago)

They even added another weirdo in Drummond

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:13 (four years ago)

they should be fine. thats likely middle of the second round. biggest fear would be luka comes back healthy and beats the jazz

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:34 (four years ago)

I am really sick of playoffs with so many injuries

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:42 (four years ago)

Pretty close to waving the white flag and accepting shorter seasons. You could change the rules to cause less wear and tear on players but we can’t trust refs to stick to it

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:43 (four years ago)

it really puts a cloud over it all every year

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:43 (four years ago)

agreed. it’s a long time since the regular season has meant much anyways

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:48 (four years ago)

what ideas are you thinking for rule changes?

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:51 (four years ago)

My theory is that the ultra-competitive nature of sports keeps driving all the participants closer and closer to the limits of what a human body can do and when you spend so much time at the very edge of performance the margin of safety disappears. The other big factor is sitting players with injuries that they used to play through because the capital investment they represent is vastly larger than it was back when a $1 million contract was superstar pay.

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:52 (four years ago)

Middleton out 3-4 weeks, not sure they can beat Boston without him

frogbs, Thursday, 21 April 2022 17:57 (four years ago)

regular season being 82 games in a fairly low variance sport has always been crazy

i know its something thats hard to go in reverse on but it has to happen eventually. teams currently get what, 15 back to backs? just cutting enough to get rid of those would go a long way

ciderpress, Thursday, 21 April 2022 18:09 (four years ago)

you’d have to demonstrate that there are more injuries in the playoffs now than there’s ever been and that those injuries were related to wear and tear as opposed to bad luck and/or the physical more demanding nature of the playoffs in general. my guess is that there is minimal correlation. if anything we’re in the period of least intensive regular season play in history

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 April 2022 18:24 (four years ago)

there probably aren't because teams are resting their players in the regular season more to compensate

i actually wonder if guys trying to ramp up and play really hard after coasting is part of the issue

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 April 2022 18:39 (four years ago)

maybe? feel like the real “issue” is that guys play harder and for longer in the playoffs and they don’t take any games off, not sure how you can legislate that out of the game, nor would you want to. it is what it is

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 April 2022 18:42 (four years ago)

im interested in ways to make regular season a bit more meaningful too even just small things like reseeding the 2nd round of the offs would make it a little more favorable for the higher seeds on average

ciderpress, Thursday, 21 April 2022 18:51 (four years ago)

This is my basic theory, plus muscles get stronger, players get bigger, so the force involved is greater than ever, but bones and ligaments don’t necessarily get stronger.

we only steal from the greatest books (PBKR), Thursday, 21 April 2022 18:59 (four years ago)

way more player movement/motion too

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Thursday, 21 April 2022 19:04 (four years ago)

yeah the current style of play is extremely taxing

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 April 2022 19:08 (four years ago)

a lot of the smart heads think the current style of play is actually tougher on bodies than before on a per-minute basis, bigs having to run players of the 3 point line, all the movement etc, on the other hand players play way fewer minutes than in older days

k3vin k., Thursday, 21 April 2022 22:07 (four years ago)

baby men zion and simmons should only be allowed to return if they promise to box each other after the season ends

in places all over the world, real stuff be happening (voodoo chili), Thursday, 21 April 2022 22:53 (four years ago)

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Friday, 22 April 2022 00:09 (four years ago)

frogbs, Friday, 22 April 2022 01:16 (four years ago)

i think we can safely say the grizz have their hands full in this series

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 01:34 (four years ago)

tho i do think the t wolves might wanna hold onto this lead…

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 01:35 (four years ago)

if josh green finds a consistent shot he’s gonna be a good player for the mavs. he is feisty on defense

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 April 2022 01:38 (four years ago)
