Andre Iguodala was signed last summer for what he could bring in the playoffs. Now, a neck injury is going to keep him out for at least the next week. And when he has been available, Iguodala hasn't totally looked like himself. Tough set of circumstances for the 38-year-old.

I figured he was signed more as a fan service/player-coach type deal. At least we don't have to see him trying to guard Boogie anymore.

Chyiv Kyiv (Fetchboy), Thursday, 28 April 2022 00:54 (four years ago)

dude is a master cutter and really smooth around the rim

Crazy stat from @Stathead: No player 6’4” or shorter has EVER shot at least 65% on at least 200 2-point attempts in a single season. @Garydwayne shot 75% on 2s this year! 🤯

How did he do it? By leading the NBA in points off cuts among all players shorter than 6'7" pic.twitter.com/77KZShokW9

That Curry defensive play on the morant drive got me hyped

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Monday, 2 May 2022 00:47 (four years ago)

Yeah, that was sweet especially with all the times Urey gets targeted on defense. I think Klay’s length bothered Ja’s last shot. But that was low key not a great game from Klay. He was 6 of 19 shooting and didn’t seem to be quick enough on defense (other than the final play).

Urey = Curry lol

that's not my post, Monday, 2 May 2022 01:58 (four years ago)

Klay was just ok. Hit the biggest shot of the game tho and had that sweet steal and fast break. Defense on the final play was crucial too for sure. That’s championship hoops tho, win on the road when you don’t play well and are missing your defensive mvp.

I'm curious to see if the warriors small lineups can keep Adams off the floor when he returns from protocols. The warriors don't have anyone to match his size on the boards.

Chyiv Kyiv (Fetchboy), Monday, 2 May 2022 15:14 (four years ago)

I don’t see him playing much. He gets torched by the small ball units.

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Monday, 2 May 2022 15:16 (four years ago)

I think Klay’s length bothered Ja’s last shot.

that shot had a very slim chance, klay played it perfect. still cant believe they pulled that game off.

Golden State Warriors guard Gary Payton II will be sidelined 3-to-5 weeks with an elbow fracture, league sources tell @YahooSports, @NBAonTNT.

2 TOs in the 2nd half. It’s generally always been that simple for this core.

Really thriving in his ideal role of 4th option. His rebounding and on-ball defense have been great and his vicious dunks on Brandon Clarke have been a highlight of the series. Seems like he doesn't like that dude.

Was there any silver lining to last night's game?

GS starters got more rest than would be usual during a playoff game?

Wake-up call? Realization that they can’t mess around? Realization they need to get the ball to our best player and keep it simple?

he was eating Vaseline like it was a bunch of cheeseburgers (Spottie), Thursday, 12 May 2022 18:58 (four years ago)

I'm told that Steve Kerr is almost certainly not coaching Game 6 tomorrow and could be out if there's a Game 7, also. Just a matter of getting two negative tests before he can return.

He's in all of the planning meetings via phone/video call.

Love that guy. A really smart player who does all the little things right. Pretty wild watching his college highlights before the hip issues stiffened him up.

all the post-game videos are about how the dubs defense gummed up the mavs offense (plus they missed a lot of open 3s). no doubt the mavs will make adjustments. but steph and klay will probably shoot better so, shrug, we end up in the same place?

that's not my post, Thursday, 19 May 2022 21:47 (four years ago)

pretty much everyone played B+ ball or higher for the dubs (except d lee, and klay really only in the 3rd) and no one played well for the mavs. the dubs d was sharp but the offense was even sharper, they kept the turnovers down. luka was really passive in spurts, he got all the way to the rim a few times then threw it away which was weird... more TOs than made FGs. the adjustments between game 1-2 should be interesting. trapping curry didnt work cos draymond and poole picked it apart and everyone was hitting. everything can change but the mavs defense didnt look nearly as sharp as the grizzlies, and they dont have anyone in the paint like JJJ/Adams so the dubs got a lot of points inside.
