brooks had a weird career. seemed like he was done a handful of years ago but has sustained a nice role since

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Thursday, 7 April 2022 18:17 (four years ago)

yeah crazy to think he was a sort of big time scorer at one point

Trae finished the season with the most points and most assist. pretty cool

thats alotta bucket baby

lag∞n, Monday, 11 April 2022 13:40 (four years ago)

apparently trae will be due a lot of money if he's named to an all-NBA team. i'll be shocked if he doesn't get at least 3rd team. how does that affect next season's cap space?

Heez, Monday, 11 April 2022 14:12 (four years ago)

it counts against the cap, celtics were in the same situation with tatum last year and he missed the cut saving them $35m over the life of his contract

lag∞n, Monday, 11 April 2022 14:13 (four years ago)

so fans shouldn't complain so much when their team's player doesn't get named to one of the teams?

at least not the year before their max deal kicks in

The @Suns finished the season with identical records of 32-9 at home and 32-9 on the road.

They are just the fourth team in NBA history to record at least 32 wins both at home and on the road:

✅ 1995-96 Bulls
✅ 2015-16 Warriors

This year, Chris Paul is now 55-of-97 on long mid-range jumpers in the 4th quarter (59.1%)

For perspective: Kevin Durant is shooting 48.7% on those shots in 4th quarters https://t.co/cnueuY36qO

offense has been off the charts 2nd half of the season and offs

Random - No team has ever won fewer than 2 games in a playoff series in which it had an effective FG% off 55% or higher.

Nets (0-3) have an eFG% of 57.4%.
Nuggets (1-3) have an eFG% of 55.9%.

It’s the first time a player has fewer than 25 field goals and more than 30 turnovers in a single postseason since the three-point era (1980).

Mikal Bridges is the 7th player in NBA history to have 30 points, 4 made threes, and 4 blocks in a playoff game.

The others? LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki, and Vince Carter. pic.twitter.com/cOb4zBHNAK

Why would you need Bridges when you could have 14 games over two years of Zhaire Smith?

we only steal from the greatest books (PBKR), Wednesday, 27 April 2022 17:22 (four years ago)

Let’s be real, even if the Sixers had held onto him, he would’ve been shipped out in a trade for some disgruntled superstar long ago

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Wednesday, 27 April 2022 17:41 (four years ago)

Somehow that's not making me feel better.

we only steal from the greatest books (PBKR), Wednesday, 27 April 2022 17:48 (four years ago)

47 minutes for bridges too lol

jammin on the dud (Spottie), Wednesday, 27 April 2022 17:58 (four years ago)

that trade in retrospect is clearly one of the worst moves of the entire sordid process era but at the time it felt entirely defensible, they basically traded one first round pick for two. i don’t remember ppl saying at the time that bridges was some huge theft by the suns. and zhaire had that whole thing where he almost died from an allergic reaction or whatever, so i kinda give the sixers a pass on that one

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 27 April 2022 18:07 (four years ago)

but now that we’re talking about it… the sixers could have jayson tatum, bridges and embiid right now. ahh

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 27 April 2022 18:08 (four years ago)

1 (inadvertent) nut kick

fixed.

watch it again. he lost his balance and stumbled backward so badly after that (nut) shot for the simple reason that he'd awkwardly thrown his foot so far forward in order to kick alvarado's nuts that it wasn't possible to recover gracefully. alvarado had embarrassed him badly in crunch time in a playoff game. cp3 will always extract payback any way he can.
