... kinda rightfully so at the moment? didnt really seem like it was working and you dont want to go down the path the blazers went and wait too long to shake it up. the vibes were off, too. but they have figured it out so it looks dumb now. pairing two all-star wings/forwards who play defense is much better than two undersized guards tho, of course. much easier to build around. time lord development has been real fun to see.

i mean they already made multiple eastern conf finals together, theyre both big two way wings aka exactly the type of players everyone wants, which is why you know the actual people who could have traded them never considered it

if theres one aspect of their game thats not a perfect fit its that neither of them are great passers, tho that is trending in the right direction, but otherwise theres no logical reason they cant play together

honestly this has been covered to death locally--the short version is they are fairly different people, they have different things going on (jaylen has a tight crew that he hangs with, jayson spends a lot of time at home with deuce or does very low-key social things), but they are completely fine as colleagues and coworkers and always have been.
