i feel like he's going to get slept on because his game seems so sound and under control already. he's like a guard tim duncan.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 12 March 2022 02:32 (two years ago) link
if he continues on his current trajectory hes gonna be pretty hard to ignore
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 02:34 (two years ago) link
pistons should consider getting chet next
they don't suck today--one more piece and they could be very interesting in a few years
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 12 March 2022 02:43 (two years ago) link
i can't remember the last time i saw a team hit a wall like the pistons just did--scored 5 points in the relevant portion of the 4th quarter
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 12 March 2022 02:54 (two years ago) link
they were hitting everything then they were hitting nothing
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 02:55 (two years ago) link
cade and chet would absolutely be a contending core in the east 4-5 years from now
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 03:53 (two years ago) link
Pop has the record?

east standing are kinda wild rn if the nets won the first play in game youd have bucks philly and nets all on the same side of the bracket
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:17 (two years ago) link
it’s the absolute dream scenario for the heat but the margins are thin pretty much everywhere even between them and the bucks if the bucks keep on this run
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:22 (two years ago) link
the nets basically have no chance of getting out of the play in game & i wonder if we’ll actually see whichever team is in the 2 spot try and low key tank their way down the standings to avoid the nets. is having home court in the second round worth having to play the nets in round 1 instead of the cavs? (no.) there’s also the chance if you’re the 3 seed that the nets beat the 2 seed and you get home court anyway

― J0rdan S., Saturday, March 12, 2022 3:22 PM (three minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink
its also the dream scenario for... the celtics lol
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:26 (two years ago) link
the funny thing is the heat and celtics might actually be better than those other teams, but just the star power scares you, and of course you dont want to throw the nets into the mix
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:27 (two years ago) link
the simple solution is to pass a local ordinance that makes it impossible for kyrie to play
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:28 (two years ago) link
would assume the bulls celtics and heat would all feel pretty great about their chances of making the ECF if the bucks sixers and nets were all on the other side of the bracket
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:44 (two years ago) link
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:46 (two years ago) link
celtics consistently play the bucks well but yeah i would basically agree with that assessment
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 20:55 (two years ago) link
nets and sixers could both easily implode in the offs, doubt the bucks will, but they just havent been that good this year, at some point if youre going to believe in them youd like them to play good, guess theres still time tho
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:02 (two years ago) link
They also haven’t had Brook
― frogbs, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:07 (two years ago) link
i feel like they should be able to figure it out without him idk but you know who has just not quite played up to his usual standard is middleton
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:10 (two years ago) link
well they’re on a 6 game win streak with wins over the heat, bulls, suns, and hawks so it might be happening. if they beat the warriors tonight they may rip off a big run
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:11 (two years ago) link
i do think their team is worse than last year in termsof the talent around their big 3 esp with their bigs i don’t trust a big man coming off a broken back and portis/ibaka is not a championship level center rotation by traditional standards. but they have a lot of ways to beat you at the ends of games which is the benefit of having 3 guys that good. middleton hitting a 3 vs the heat and then jrue making the game winner, middleton killing the suns at the end etc
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:17 (two years ago) link
yeah their supporting cast is a little shaky like i was thinking they should just go small why not but even their small lineup isnt that satisfying
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:20 (two years ago) link
Middleton is weird, he's disappointing/invisible for long stretches of the game but will go supernova for like half a quarter
― frogbs, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:24 (two years ago) link
would be cool to see giannis just go full sicko mode both sides of the ball and drag them through the offs (unless they play the celtics)
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:26 (two years ago) link
honestly that feels like what is going to happen.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:46 (two years ago) link
Bucks definitely have that "not really trying yet" energy
― frogbs, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:47 (two years ago) link
could be but theres always that thing where he doesnt really want to play his most effective style xp
― lag∞n, Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:48 (two years ago) link
if he can shoot in the low 70s from the line — where he’s at this season — instead of below 60% — where he’s been the last two playoffs — it opens up a world where he can just physically dominate every playoff game
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 21:58 (two years ago) link
pretty funny how fans counting down his ft clock last playoff helped him improve is routine

Markieff Morris is back and available for the Heat tonight after missing the last four months of games.— Anthony Chiang (@Anthony_Chiang) March 12, 2022
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 12 March 2022 22:49 (two years ago) link
Because of Morris previous neck/spinal injury combined with whiplash, Heat - after not clearing him - then left decision on clearing Morris to NBA's Fitness to Play panel, a mechanism to resolve such issues. NBA ruling that he can play eliminates Heat liability, health concerns— Barry Jackson (@flasportsbuzz) March 12, 2022

i think it’s forgotten now that the whole thing started because the heat actually got the refs to whistle him for it in game 1 of that series on what was an extremely pivotal free throw. still one of the most confusing moments i can remember watching NBA basketball
