i tend to agree with ppl who make the point that basketball hasn’t been the driving force behind lebron’s movement decisions since he went to miami & so he won’t force his way out of LA to get to a better team. and he’s basically already telling us that his next move is gonna be about bronny

luckily for us the viewers at home nothing else about ja's game is particularly normal

yah its not effected his game TOO much but the wolves were pretty happy to let him shoot the other night

yeah he needs to learn to shoot driving into a waiting defense isnt a long term plan

it will be interesting to see how defenses in the playoffs try and play them & what the grizz have in their bag to respond. they’re such menaces in transition that it gives them a pretty high floor as far as offensive rating in the regular season but they’ll have to show they can repeatedly score in the half court with teams daring ja to shoot. it’s not like they’ve haven’t seen it before but they’re at another level of expectation now and they still have some guys like bane and JJJ who don’t have much playoff experience to speak of

the thing with ja is he seems like a gamer. like in the play in game vs the dubs last year he hit at least 5 threes and the dubs were going under on every screen. shredded the scouting report. but in a long series its the right play. excited to see what theyre made of with their new confidence. the jazz handled them pretty easily in the first round last year.

crazy that they’ve been missing dillon brooks for basically the entire season, looks like he’s coming back soon

Idk if anyone here has made D Rose comparisons but I think Ja is even more of a gamer plus more intelligent. It was kinda easy to befuddle Rose st crucial moments w defensive tactics. Guess the advantage prime Rose had was that big body.

interesting heat-bulls game tonight. the heat threw a bunch of different looks at the bulls… had bam on demar, butler on vuc, then started hard doubling demar and lavine off pick and rolls and making anyone else on the floor beat them. held them to 99 points.

heat have kinda flown under the radar this season. pretty much all their main guys have missed like 15+ games and theyre still the #1 seed. getting healthy and gelling at the right time. lets just ffwd to the playoffs already

the rest of the season in the east should still be pretty good, everyone is so bunched up and the seeding is gonna be really important. there's a scenario where, like, the heat get the 1 seed, philly and milwaukee go 2/3 and the 4/5 is cleveland/chicago w/ the 7 seed being the nets. the heat would only need to get thru the 8 seed and then one of the bulls and cavs to get to the east finals. there's also a scenario where the nets are the 8 seed, the bucks are in the 4/5 and they have to get thru both of them to even get to the east finals. the permutations are gonna have a huge effect on every team.

the rest of the season in the west might be a bit snoozy tho it seems like everything there is just a prelude to the playoffs at this point

yeah the rest of the season should be fun just no more injuries is all we ask
