wonder how theyll feel when teams simply do not guard him in the playoffs

i guess the thought is that if he ever does learn how to shoot he’s immediately an elite 3 and D player on the level of like mikael bridges but given the whole reason he fell in the draft was that he never has been able to shoot it seems a bit pie in the sky

he just doesnt do anything except play d he cant even rebound not they type of guy i would bet on suddenly getting good at basketball

i watched a good video on his defense, he is obvs extremely impressive but also does some weird unsound things like falling behind his man a lot and chasing

he hunts steals like crazy, works against lazy passing teams like the warriors

yeah he does that think where he falls behind the ball handler to block from behind

he’s also kinda small, not like he can guard PFs or play small ball center

i feel like last year in the hawks series their best defender on trae was actually simmons but i could be misremembering

Thybulle box scores are something else. Frequently see him with like 4 steals and 2 blocks, zero rebounds or assists and under five points.

because matisse likes to chase so much its questionable how well his defence would work without a dominant rim protector on the court

otoh matisse thybulle is a really cool name

haliburton/duarte are such a good 1-2. the offense with hield (and carlisle) should be sick

hield has been so bad this year wonder if its a decline (cos hes like 38 already) or if he was just done with sacramento

the league was really light on the bulls and heat in the tampering investigations re lonzo & lowry. only took away one second. i also heard someone speculate that given that the nets have been in the star hunting business lately they probably won’t press the league on another team’s tampering

cam thomas for the nets looks like he will be a player. has scored 30, 20, 17 and 27 his last 4 games very efficiently and has 15 at half tonight. he doesn’t really do much except score (which was his rep coming out of college) but he’s looking like a really nice off the bench microwave scorer at worst

otoh we covet the L's

there's some compensating value in elevating the confidence of your young guys instead of crushing their spirit by inflicting a long painful losing streak on them when they get their big chance.

a decade ago I figured he had a good shot at breaking the record but it would probably be because he stayed in the league a year or two too long scoring 20 PPG for a bad team trying to goose its attendance. the fact that he broke it while still being a Top 10 player (ok, maybe 15) in the league is insane

i mean he didnt really break the record or at not least the one people care about, still got a couple few more years to go on the regular season one

I was thinking earlier today how LeBron is a one-off. His combination of size, strength, amazing athleticism, intelligence, durability, and complete skill set is unique. From the look of it he could play another three or four years at a pretty high level, if he wants. I wish he wasn't so determined to be a multi-billionaire as his only visible ambition outside of playing hoops.
