looking at the lakers trade options and they have nothing. they dont own their next few picks, they have no desirable players, nothing. malik monk is probably their only contract of any value (outside lebron and ad) and he is on a one year deal. what a shitshow.

this loss feels like an actual cry for help

the blazers beating LA with a gutted roster is supremely satisfying. it doesn't fix the roster, but it feels real good just the same.

watching and thinking about this lakers team gets me in about the same way as body horror

the lakers are 5 games back of denver for the 6th seed but also 5.5 games ahead of the kings and spurs for the 13th seed. many things are possible if you believe

I much prefer they struggle to a play-in game, advance to the first round, and are unceremoniously swept (with a full roster).

Getting summarily dealt with by a middling team or two in the play-in game(s) would be pretty appealing as well

Sounds to me like the Nets might take their chance that Harden comes around before the playoffs unless Philly blows them away today. As much as I want this trade to happen for the drama, another satisfying result is the Nets letting it ride and Harden completely sinking them.

I was wondering, would 2010 Lebron make the Lakers a championship team? I know everyone is focused on westbrook, and that is a HUGE piece, but a lot of this is down to Lebron being a very good player not a transcendent player.
