tatum still shot 33% from 3 for the month which is where hes at for the year too, ive said it before but step back side step etc 3s just arent good shots, they not only dont go in but theyre ball stopping behavior, its good to have one in your pocket for end of shot clock situations but otherwise try to find better shots, move without the ball or something

they never lost the lead or even ended up tied which i will consider progress against a respectable hornets team

definitely. josh richardson shooting the hell out of the ball helped. and marcus is on one of his good streaks as an offensive player.

sadly, the streak has, as all things must, come to an end

celtics have won eight of ten, seven of which were blowouts, garbage time notwithstanding, all vs bad or temporarily bad via injury teams

both losses were pretty bad, 11pt 4th quarter collapse vs the blazers and got smoked end to end by the hawks

so, thoughts on Derrick White? Seems like selling high on Richardson is a good thing though always precarious to upset the fragile balance when the team is finally rolling

Always been a Derrick White fan but a little nervous to be bringing in another combo guard as a lead ballhandler who's not a great shooter or distributor

i like it from the pov of white just being an active guy who can create, richardson was great this year but hes pretty limited, shooting could def be better, whites not a point guard by any means but his playmaking is for sure better than richardsons, overall good move imho and farewell to romeo kinda never got off the ground maybe the spurs can give him more of a shot

gotta think brown becomes a guard with this roster

as far as romeo idk a lot of fans only really follow their own team so those are the only guys they know lol

if celtics fans especially like romeo i certainly would not know why

it's true that fewer people than i expect have a perspective on the whole league, like this isn't the nfl or mlb there's 6 or 7 guys per team who matter and it's not all that hard to keep track of them. that's part of the appeal!

i am over here reading that romeo is "a 3 and d monster in the making" but at this rate "the making" is going to go well into his second nba contract

totally missed that they were sending this years pick over in the white trade, dont think that was reported at first, trade makes more sense now

yeah the spurs get this years pick which will be like 18 in what is said to be a bad draft, and they also got a swap in 2028 which people are similarly flagellating themselves about. idk, you have to give something to get something when the something is a guy entering his prime on a pretty cheap contract with years of team control.

yeah before i knew about the pick i had no idea why the spurs would do that trade, trying to get off a long term deal, pop being nice to ime

generally you dont like to give up a 1st for a bench player but white could really be one of those starting quality bench players

if this goes well he'll be playing starter-level minutes. by all accounts he's a willing passer with good defense. a great type of guard to put with the Js.

yeah i mean i like it i like the move i like their moves today, they really went all in on their big defense first team, doing their thing, being themselves, and they got under the tax line too

to me the biggest thing it showed, not that i ever really had doubts, is that the plan is to keep building around jayson and jaylen
