at best it's a wash -- maybe you get a tick better shooting -- but you're acquiring the guy who missed 2 years after blowing out like every ligament below his hips. it seems insane to me i'd still rather bet on westbrook

lakers should just cut westbrook imo, theyve got money they can do it

the argument for wall i guess would be that hes a better fit has more of a "traditional point guard" in him, lol lakers in a tough spot

might be that getting rid of a guy who is shooting 21% from three, had 9 turnovers in his last game, routinely goes about 4 for 14 from the field, and who you can't really play in crunch time in exchange for a possibly average to slightly above average player is a good trade

his numbers from 20-21 aren't awful! shooting isn't great, i don't think it ever was for him, but, what was it, like 21-6-3? but tbf he was playing on a bottom-feeder for 40 games before the all-star break and i definitely wasn't watching 2021 houston rockets games so i have no idea about the eye-test

we really dont know what he is any more, they played him for a bit then shut him down. he may not be able to pass a physical at this point

physically speaking wall def looked better than you would expect for a guy of his age coming off of his leg injuries but statistically he wasn’t a very effective player, i would rather bet on westbrook figuring something out than bet on wall to stay healthy and give you something above and beyond what russell has been

the funniest detail about the lakers offseason was their total refusal to put THT in any deal and now theyre trying to trade him and no one cares
