Morey further explained that he figures almost every NBA player would be thrilled to play with Embiid, so even though Ben Simmons repeatedly announced to the entire world that he wouldn't return to the Sixers, Morey is very surprised that he actually won't return to play for the Sixers. This indicates Morey's head may be full of sand and someone should look into that possibility.

he still isn’t really an outside shooter at all so i could see why they might’ve turned that down, given the reasons that you’re trading simmons. same thing with de’aaron fox. but it seems doubtful they’ll get a player better than murray, just in a vacuum, back at this point, tho perhaps the overall package will be better that what they could’ve gotten from the spurs

dejounte's not a "good" 3 point shooter but hes a willing one, and is taking harder (self-created) ones this year which accounts for the kinda bleh percentage. he's also got a fairly reliable midrange game (46% from 10-16 ft, KD is 52% from this spot for comp). add his point of attack d, rebounding, playmaking, and he does 80% of what ben does while doing a lot of things ben doesn't (shoot, play basketball, like basketball).
