how many point guards can you definitively say are better than him now? steph might be the only one, honestly. dame and cp3 are probably still better but you couldn’t just dismiss the idea of ja being better out of hand the way you could last season. given the age disparity he may well be passing them up right now. you could argue trae, could maybe argue jrue holiday if you’re thinking about putting a title team together. i don’t consider luka a PG. it’s a very very short, possibly minuscule, list

in terms of pure entertainment value it might be steph and him

i think the only question w/ ja is how real the shooting is. if he's actually anywhere near the 40% he's shooting from 3 this season then it's lights out given his quickness and finishing. i saw on TV tonight that he's shooting 63% from three since coming back from injury. so i guess we have to see where the level is bcuz obv that is unsustainable to some degree

yeah i doubt hes nearly a 40% shooter yet but it does seem like hes improving

his FT shooting has improved a bit from last year but is still only at 76%

he might never be a knock down guy, prob more important to get to that place where teams at least need to respect his shot, cant really consider playing off him

tho i would recommend becoming a knock down guy its better

Dudes a gamer too he plays best in big games and in big moments. Also attacks the rim in crunch time and doesn’t just hunt step backs or whatever. The three p thing he seems to hit them when it matters. But yah if he’s 40% for real then he could become an all time great
