still too early to say but after all the carlisle hysteria it’s possible they didn’t end up downgrading their coaching situation and *whispers very softly* may have even upgraded it

I can’t believe it but it may be true. Even if it’s nothing more than just players buying in, that’s a major upgrade

i don’t think kidd is actually a better coach than carlisle, but if kidd can get a roster that’s built entirely around offense to play sustainably good defense then it might be better for them in the long run. the defense will prob come down a bit but the offense should come up, so we’ll see where the level is at. right now their net rating is better than last year but not as good as two years ago. still a top 10 team as of now. the other question is how kidd coaches a playoff series and whether he has the strategic chops to make on the fly adjustments

Yeah Kidd definitely seems like one of those honeymoon period coaches. Not all that surprised to see him get more buy in than Carlisle at this stage but let’s see how the players are responding to him in year 3, let alone year 10
