i feel like we might be getting the best of both worlds here with them being decidedly mediocre. forgettable lakers teams like the post kobe pre lebron era still are on TV incessantly while being largely uninteresting, now we’re getting good drama and schadenfreude out of a team that we’ll also get to watch get be punked out of the playoffs. i’m thinking also of that lakers team that lost to the mavs in that series where bynum got ejected for body slamming jj barea. that is ideal lakers to me
