yeah i think their options are to trade him or to hang on to him and do his extension which would be like $100 mil and through his age 32 season, which does not seem ideal.

yeah someone is going to overpay for him in both the trade and extension a la aaron gordon just cause they need a guy like that

between him lowry & steph wondering if we’re getting to a point where elite PGs without any chronic injuries a la kemba can just play much longer than previously thought (assuming steph is still going in 3-4 years)

nash was still pretty great through age 37, as well.

seems intuitive that PGs who dont lean on speed can just keep going

jerami grant wanted to prove he was better than just the fourth or fifth guy on a team and he did! i feel like if he gets traded to a contender this year he’ll basically have had his cake and eaten it too. the nuggets turned out to have had a lost season last year (maybe two this year), he got the role he wanted and excelled in it, played his way onto the olympic team & then may end up on a playoff team anyway. all for the price of 1.5 seasons in detroit, not too bad at all

i might wanna keep kuminga if i was them. wiseman is a must trade tho before he loses any more value

imo they should just go all in this year but then again i am a world famous poker champion and master of risk-taking so grain of salt

yeah, i don’t think that’s wrong. but if i was them i’d try and claw him back in any deal. feels like he could help them next year. and in terms of atheltic pop there’s no one on the roster who compares

i agree with trading wiseman and keeping kuminga kuminga looks like he could be pretty amazing, i mean if the right deal comes along you do what you have to, but then the thing is with the warrios salaries which are all > $25m || < $10 youd prob have to package wiggins along with wiseman and then youre already at $40m which requires a big trade, and is it even worth moving those guys for a player of grants quality prob not i mean is grant even better than wiggins, in conclusion itd prob have to be a solidly allstar level player to make it worth their while and it wld be hard to pull off due to the need of both teams to put multiple dudes in

i do think wiseman deserves a chance before we throw him in the trash too, he is a very large athletic man who moves very well, he could also be very good, tho they should move him if they find a deal that really moves the needle

i don’t think the problem is wiseman himself as much as the fit is just terrible. extreme win now situation plus they have a center who is always gonna be on the floor and a fairly defined system that doesn’t really involve the center scoring a lot in basically any situation. he needs to get to a team where he can just get clean minutes.

from a size + athleticism perspective he’s pretty rare and has skill. but i don’t think him getting on the court for the warriors is going to increase his value at all unless he’s just gotten way better and nobody knows it yet

players do often get way better in the 2nd year, but yeah hes prob not going to help them much now

but! that doesnt mean they should just be throwing value out the window for a marginal upgrade

Wiseman as a starting NBA center sucks, but Wiseman as a wild card is pretty nice.
