if morey wasn't willing to trade simmons for mccollum 1.5 years ago i don't know why he would be now, given that he's having his worst shooting season in years and is also injured

he would do it because he has to trade simmons now

embiid is putting pressure on them with his great play. they need to start meshing the new teeamates sooner than later.

also is there anyone on the blazers who couldn't be traded prior to the 12/15 deadline? what is the impetus for a cj mccollum trade right now keep in mind he is out indefinitely with a collapsed lung

right and then you guys were like "it's for cj mccollum" i dunno he is expensive aging not having a good year injured and plays a position where the sixers already have a glut of pretty decent players

those are just the facts not sure what you want us to do

but also none of that supposed glut of players does what the sixers need most which is dribble into the paint and make plays

blazers are desperate to “”””change the narrative”””” rn and are probably eager to be fleeced is one thing

not sure the blazers will be the ones getting fleeced if they dump mccollum

mb the sixers can take them for cj and a couple picks then route those picks through another team for a second guy

getting two guys is never bad

with as bad as the blazers have been their picks are rising in value

dont think this is meant to be info just saying whats obvious, if they could do it without giving up either jay then yeah but seems extremely unlikely, although do not think simmons would be happy in boston which is bad

cj was also bad in the playoffs last year so i'm not sure that helps the sixers specific problem of having a player who is bad in the playoffs

well maybe he wont be bad in the playoffs this year

i do think playing with embiid would prob be pretty cool for him

he'll at least try to... shoot the ball

first step is just shooting it

a 40% chance is better than a 0% chance so the math tells me

i think simmons would be happy enough in boston. especially if they were winning

idk the celtics are already kind of a weird vibes team and he has weird vibes, also boston fans arent really into aloof sensitive players, pretty sure it would be weird but it is true that winning can solve all of that

dont think its gonna happen regardless, maybe if the celtics give up 4 firsts and a third team is involved idk

the problem in general w/ simmons is finding a team that is willing to part w/ shooting for a player who not only can't shoot but outright refuses to shoot. it's a tough sell! it seems like the blazers might be one of the few teams willing to take that gamble at this point but i would be stunned if this whole thing culminated in morey taking on 2 years and $68 million of cj mccollum

he might have to i dont think he can just not trade simmons

i mean theres also simmons for gordon hayward!

that trade makes way more sense, hayward is having a great year

im cool with it

hornets need defense and lonzo + simmons is a potentially cool fit from a fast break/passing POV

prob get charlotte to throw pj washington in too

hornets also get an extra year of contract w/ simmons

sixers might balk at gordons injury history and the fact that hes softer than baby thighs

all teams need multiple ballhandlers these days and they can play simmons at center anyway

might have to learn how to block a shot or two

he can do that its no problem

yeah that's the other thing about the hornets, they don't even have a real center to begin with. their best line ups are super small w/ pj washington at 5, it makes for an easy fit for simmons

they should also get a real center tho at some point lol

ball-rozier-oubre-bridges-simmons is kinda interesting? not sure if you're winning a first round series or anything but is at least interesting and fun

they keep saying locally the Wolves are in the mix, but I can't see Philly thinking a deal with Dlo as the key piece would be enough. they are saying Dlo plus Jaden McDaniel and Malik Beasley plus picks

have to imagine KAT and Ant are untouchable

maybe Pat Bev could be in there but everyone in the organization raves about how much they like him

best deal for philly yet proposed itt imo
