for weeks now brad has been like 'this team is trash so we gotta, um ,hustle, and that's how we're going to win GO GET EM CELTICS' and first of all i'd be a little insulted if i'm one of the starters? and second of all they seem better than they were last year depth wise? i don't know it just seems like the talent is there but there's no gameplan

yeah hopefully its just some flukiness and adjusting to a new coach and scheme and not the much worse possibility of the coach and scheme being bad

tho udoka is a 1st time head coach so hes prob going to have some growing pains regardless

fascinating watching tatum down the stretch in that game, he was ice cold and decided to resolutely draw the defense and kick out. got it back a couple times and got key buckets in the process. i'm sure he was frustrated but i liked the style of play.

yeah he needs to to more of those quick hits and kickouts hes been holding the ball like crazy this year

definitely, and even when he held it a few times and i thought he was going to take a tough shot, he waited for the defenders to come and moved it to someone with a clean look. again it can't be fun to play that way, but he's going to face a shitload of multiple defender situations given how this team is composed and those passes will be there.

nesmith, langford, and schroder had massive double digit plusses on the plus/minus tonight which imo tells a lot about how they won this game

yeah those guys were all very active doin stuff

they forced a ton of turnovers in the 2nd quarter

heat seemed to be on tilt after the first few times

Brutal final 30 seconds for Marcus Smart against the Mavs. On top of the bad foul to give on Doncic, he also missed Boston's final shot with 30 seconds left while trying to draw a foul on Porzingis, throwing up unneeded low quality shot since Boston was already in penalty.

tatum did seem to remember than you can just do something as soon as you get the ball tho which is cool, team in general seems to be playing not terrible anymore, got back in a scheduled loss without jaylen after being down big

richardson also finally had a good game, tho i remain a sceptic

hes one of those guys that kind of just always looks bad out there, he moves around sloppy like his shoes are too big

if maxey is better than sexton the sixers are in a pretty sweet spot

I haven't seen Sexton much, so grain of salt, just looking at their advanced stats and (wishful thinking) projecting Maxey to develop a bit more.

sexton has the right skills and style to be an nba lead ball handler aka a guy who can break down the defense and getting things happening, whether he will ever do it at a high enough level to really be a good lead ball handler well i wouldnt bet on it but he is at least the type of player the sixers need, tho hes also the type of guy who could really suffer from this new physicality if it persists because he is small

if the sixers have to settle for a package like him and love lol that would be bad for them tho not out of the realm of possibility but does seem like pretty much the floor they could get for simmons
