i can’t remember a year where i had absolutely no read at all on what’s going to happen in the west. has there been a season in the last 20 years where it’s been more wide open? i already feel pretty strongly that the lakers chances of winning the west are minimal but i have no idea at all who i would nominate as the favorite. feels like it could be one of like 6 or 7 teams, very odd

maybe this is the year the jazz finally do stuff in the playoffs

alternatively jamal murray comes back 100% and the denver nuggets win the nba playoffs, fulfilling a prophecy

this heat squad is fun

the heat look like they’re playing playoff basketball in terms of effort and connectivity while their opponents are on game 6 of the season. idk how long they can keep it up for but they know how they wanna play and have a lot of unselfish guys. and herro has been going crazy

last year they tried to put him in the starting line up and it messed up his mojo. he's always been destined for the bench microwave role, he just looks more comfortable and confident this year, plus stronger

also it gets forgotten (understandably so bcuz most ppl don't remember tyler herro rookie season pre bubble) but he added skills in the break between the regular season and bubble that year specifically in terms of pick and roll facilitation and creativity around the rim. he was clearly on a heater in the bubble but also if you had watched him closely his game had grown. last year i think was a classic combo of sophomore slumping + being banged up most of the year + being an annoying white so ppl were eager to make fun of him for not scoring 30 ppg
