good call on that.

It's the Final Cluntdiwn (Spottie), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 00:08 (four years ago)

ohhh i get it now, they can offer him no *more* than the 3rd year option number, but can offer less.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 00:13 (four years ago)

if they had gone to the knicks durant would've torn his other achilles, harden would weigh 270 pounds, and kyrie would be living w/o electricity in the hudson valley

― J0rdan S., Monday, November 1, 2021 7:55 PM (forty-three minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

if that happened after they won a playoff round theyd still be ny legends

lag∞n, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 00:40 (four years ago)

about an hour and a half ago the raptors were down 15 to the knicks and i was gonna post that it was feeling like a bit of a lost season for them and then they immediately started kicking the knicks ass and won by 13. career high 36 for OG

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 01:49 (four years ago)

og is good

lag∞n, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 01:50 (four years ago)

celtics are cursed (bad)

― ciderpress, Monday, November 1, 2021 4:50 PM (five hours ago) bookmarkflaglink

ciderpress, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 01:51 (four years ago)

he looks excellent. if his offense is this consistent he’s gonna make a bunch of all star teams going forward xp

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 01:52 (four years ago)

uh yeah i was gonna ask… so, the celtics… bad?

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 01:55 (four years ago)

they just don't have a true #1 scoring threat unless tatum can take another step up. in the meantime this iteration was supposed to be a good defense medium offense team but the defense has been outright bad

ciderpress, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 01:58 (four years ago)

i think on most teams tatum would qualify as a #1 scoring threat.

from what i have seen the issues have been poor team defense, getting nothing from smart and richardson, and not getting enough from rob in an expanded role.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:00 (four years ago)

rob has looked okay to me but richardson has been replacement level yeah

ciderpress, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:05 (four years ago)

they are only 6 guys deep again despite the retooled roster

ciderpress, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:06 (four years ago)

there is no reason for richardson to be playing over nesmith at this point, that's an easy one to fix.

more broadly they still don't seem to have any organizing principle on offense which is how these runs snowball so easily on them. when they try to be unselfish the result is turnovers and when they're more selfish the result is bad shots. no one ever just settles things down.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:11 (four years ago)

blazers getting hosed by the sixers minus embiid and harris is a choice

Clay, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:15 (four years ago)

is it just me or has Lillard been kinda bad

frogbs, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:20 (four years ago)

he's averaging 18.3-3.5-8.3 on 35% shooting and a disorienting 23% from three (13-56 for the year), he's been worse than i've ever seen him through any stretch of games in his career including his rookie year

Clay, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:22 (four years ago)

i don't think a guy like him can do much but try to shoot his way out of it but at some point if it doesn't fix itself he's gonna get the yips and then lol look out

Clay, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:23 (four years ago)

Hey so uh. Franz Wagner

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:24 (four years ago)

has Lillard been kinda bad

yup. he can't seem to find the bottom of the basket rn.

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:31 (four years ago)

Lillard's worst FG% stretches in his career came during two periods:
- An 8-game stretch in late January 2015 where he shot 31% from the field and 23% from 3
- An 8-game stretch in March and April 2016 where he shot 32% from the field (but 33% from 3) https://t.co/8edf4hF0bu

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:33 (four years ago)

so yeah he’s basically playing his worst ever basketball

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:34 (four years ago)

I missed the nuggets game, looks like another anonymous effort from MPJ but at least jokic is looking like the best player in the league

mens rea activist (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:36 (four years ago)

Hey so uh. Franz Wagner

franz looks awesome, it was totally the right pick in that spot and looks like it’s really gonna hit for them. the exact size and skill everyone wants

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:36 (four years ago)

we need to see kuminga of course but we at least have to consider whether the warriors again went for alleged upside with their pick and let a much better player and instant contributor go one pick later

like, if they had picked lamelo and franz they might be the undisputed best team in the west. maybe even just franz!

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:39 (four years ago)

cant overlook the possibility that the dubs are just bad at developing talent

class project pat (m bison), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:41 (four years ago)

possibly but these just look like missed evaluations. i’m not sure the magic have really developed franz in like 2 weeks

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:43 (four years ago)

best player in the league has been jimmy butler sorry if this offends

— Kevin Pelton (@kpelton) November 1, 2021

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:43 (four years ago)

idk guys it's going to take more than 2 weeks of franz being ok on a bad team for me to say every draft board got this one wrong

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:45 (four years ago)

well he’s shooting 49% from the field and 43% from three on 4.5 threes per game so he’s been more than just ok. also jut watching him he looks like he’s belongs. i’m sure you can find a lot of ppl who had him over kuminga

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:51 (four years ago)

Notice that Jokic has the highest EstNet. So it actually agrees with you. However, the replacement level Center is actually pretty high (0.9) and he only has 180 minutes.

— Steven Anderson (@S_McAnderson) November 1, 2021

to be honest I don’t know what these letters mean and I’m a peloton skeptic but I am taking comfort in this

mens rea activist (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:51 (four years ago)

just from a numbers and advanced stat somewhat knowing perspective however these heavily weighted systems are not very discriminatory after 200 minutes of playing time

mens rea activist (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:57 (four years ago)

butler has looked awesome too and the heat do seem super poised to take advantage of the eastern conference weirdness should it continue, my money is on the bucks and nets figuring it out for the most part tho. cool scrappy team tho

mens rea activist (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 02:59 (four years ago)

kev i think that tweet means that it’s like a first baseman kinda thing with baseball where the positional adjustment baked into WAR raises the bar for greatness vs a player at a more valuable position/position where there is a fewer number of productive players

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 03:05 (four years ago)

In two months Lillard and MPJ will be shooting 40% from 3, most likely

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 03:10 (four years ago)

maybe it’s just bcuz he put up 22 shots tonight while gordon hayward, miles bridges, and kelly oubre scored a combined 21 points but i’m a bit worried that the hornets had a great thing going that is gonna get less great now that terry rozier is back to chuck up a bunch of shots

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 03:34 (four years ago)

Their interior defense is shameful. They should trade terry for a pf/c

It's the Final Cluntdiwn (Spottie), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 03:47 (four years ago)

If the warriors woulda drafted franz they wouldn’t be playing him anyways only so much opportunity for a rookie when you’ve got a top 10-15 all time player trying to win now. Which goes to point they shoulda never drafted these kids in the first place.

It's the Final Cluntdiwn (Spottie), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 03:50 (four years ago)

yeah that’s kinda the fly in the ointment in terms of them and development and wiseman in particular. but there’s always room for an athletic 6-10 wing who can shoot

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 2 November 2021 03:55 (four years ago)

Wiseman has a clear path to playing time and development cos only really looney stands in his way. But wings/forwards are stuck behind drag/Wiggins/iggy/Otto.

Moody looks like he might be able to contribute sooner than later tho

It's the Final Cluntdiwn (Spottie), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 04:02 (four years ago)

These Marcus smart quotes huh

It's the Final Cluntdiwn (Spottie), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 04:13 (four years ago)

hes not wrong

micah, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 07:32 (four years ago)

this is the first quote about the new ball from a player, that I’ve seen anyway. Wonder if it’s affecting dame and others who are slumping

“Not to make an excuse about the ball, but it’s a different basketball. It don't have the same touch/softness that the Spalding ball had, and you'll see this year. It's gonna be a lot of bad misses.”

Paul George was asked about the ball. He’s shooting 49% FG & 41% 3PT. pic.twitter.com/PW0y7IjaxC

celtics somehow had 0 defenesive rebounds in the 4th quarter???

micah, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 09:21 (four years ago)

Why would they change the basketball?

It's the Final Cluntdiwn (Spottie), Tuesday, 2 November 2021 15:28 (four years ago)

I can’t believe they changed the ball again.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 2 November 2021 18:44 (four years ago)

Sooo many ominous passages for the Lakers in this article, beginning with this one:

The Lakers’ starting lineup didn’t last even two weeks. Against the Rockets on Sunday, Frank Vogel replaced center DeAndre Jordan with guard Avery Bradley—a move that

James’s free throw rate is three times as high with Westbrook off the court.

yikes
