about an hour and a half ago the raptors were down 15 to the knicks and i was gonna post that it was feeling like a bit of a lost season for them and then they immediately started kicking the knicks ass and won by 13. career high 36 for OG

they just don't have a true #1 scoring threat unless tatum can take another step up. in the meantime this iteration was supposed to be a good defense medium offense team but the defense has been outright bad

i think on most teams tatum would qualify as a #1 scoring threat.

from what i have seen the issues have been poor team defense, getting nothing from smart and richardson, and not getting enough from rob in an expanded role.

rob has looked okay to me but richardson has been replacement level yeah

they are only 6 guys deep again despite the retooled roster

there is no reason for richardson to be playing over nesmith at this point, that's an easy one to fix.

more broadly they still don't seem to have any organizing principle on offense which is how these runs snowball so easily on them. when they try to be unselfish the result is turnovers and when they're more selfish the result is bad shots. no one ever just settles things down.

blazers getting hosed by the sixers minus embiid and harris is a choice

is it just me or has Lillard been kinda bad

he's averaging 18.3-3.5-8.3 on 35% shooting and a disorienting 23% from three (13-56 for the year), he's been worse than i've ever seen him through any stretch of games in his career including his rookie year

i don't think a guy like him can do much but try to shoot his way out of it but at some point if it doesn't fix itself he's gonna get the yips and then lol look out

well he’s shooting 49% from the field and 43% from three on 4.5 threes per game so he’s been more than just ok. also jut watching him he looks like he’s belongs. i’m sure you can find a lot of ppl who had him over kuminga

to be honest I don’t know what these letters mean and I’m a peloton skeptic but I am taking comfort in this

just from a numbers and advanced stat somewhat knowing perspective however these heavily weighted systems are not very discriminatory after 200 minutes of playing time

butler has looked awesome too and the heat do seem super poised to take advantage of the eastern conference weirdness should it continue, my money is on the bucks and nets figuring it out for the most part tho. cool scrappy team tho

kev i think that tweet means that it’s like a first baseman kinda thing with baseball where the positional adjustment baked into WAR raises the bar for greatness vs a player at a more valuable position/position where there is a fewer number of productive players

Wiseman has a clear path to playing time and development cos only really looney stands in his way. But wings/forwards are stuck behind drag/Wiggins/iggy/Otto.
