thought he as supposed to be the best scorer of our generation

(•̪●) (carne asada), Thursday, 28 October 2021 19:21 (four years ago)

James Harden is 32 and his off court lifestyle is pretty debauched so maybe that’s part of what’s going on here

there's definitely a pattern in pro sports where great players suddenly turn mediocre in their early 30s and every time it happens people are shocked

not saying that's what's happening here, for all we know Harden is just using these early season games to see what he can and can't do anymore, but it wouldn't be unprecedented

frogbs, Thursday, 28 October 2021 19:40 (four years ago)

in basketball at least barring injury it tends to be more of a slow decline for stars, like if harden was this bad all year it would be an unprecedented drop off

lag∞n, Thursday, 28 October 2021 19:58 (four years ago)

yeah this is a purely anecdotal theory but i feel like if you’re an all time level NBA guard who hasn’t suffered any sort of career altering injury you have a really good shot at being useful into your 30s. moreso than prob any other group of pro athletes just in terms of wear and tear, physical strain on the body

J0rdan S., Thursday, 28 October 2021 20:00 (four years ago)

the suns look like they are on a finals hangover. but they arent old and proven enough to have that last very long. bucks are now in the zone where they turn it on only if they have to and some nights theyll get steamrolled outta nowhere. clippers are off to a very weird start... are they even a playoff team without kawhi?

the bulls start is cuet but theyre about to embark on a hellish three-week schedule

well if one star player was gonna suffer this kind of decline I'd wager it's a guy with an insanely high usage rate who takes a ton of contact who also happens to maybe not be in the best shape

ultimately I think Harden will be fine once he's used to the new rules but I don't think it would be that surprising if he wasn't

frogbs, Thursday, 28 October 2021 20:35 (four years ago)

why is there no tnt double header

It's the Final Cluntdiwn (Spottie), Thursday, 28 October 2021 20:46 (four years ago)

Packers-Cardinals is the rare good Thursday night NFL game, the teams are a combined 11-1

frogbs, Thursday, 28 October 2021 21:13 (four years ago)

What’s a Packers?

(•̪●) (carne asada), Thursday, 28 October 2021 21:27 (four years ago)

kemba is starting to crank it up

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 00:59 (four years ago)

love kemba hes a great fit with the knicks who badly needed another guy who can put the ball through the ring

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:03 (four years ago)

yeah their offense would be missing a major component without him. it’s the bulls defense so whatever but their starting line up of kemba, barrett, fournier, randle & robinson has pretty good spacing. kemba has been getting to the rim and either finishing or hitting robinson for alley oops/fouls pretty consistently

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 01:15 (four years ago)

kemba is still really good when hes healthy, unfortunately celtics only got half a season of that

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:16 (four years ago)

and an occasional five game stretch i guess

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:16 (four years ago)

thibs is one of the most naturally bald men of alltime he has like 25 hairs on his head

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:23 (four years ago)

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:24 (four years ago)

hes wearing like a hand knit bucket hat

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 01:39 (four years ago)

the hawks lost to the wizards huh

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 01:40 (four years ago)

they made him take them his last year in toronto but then when pop let him just shoot 2s he did that xp

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:41 (four years ago)

celtics lost to the wizards too wizards are ok they have some guys

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:42 (four years ago)

the wizards getting a bunch of useful players for russell westbrook might’ve been the no 1 move of the entire offseason

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 01:46 (four years ago)

yeah low key heist

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:47 (four years ago)

KCP and kuzma both put up 21-8 tonight and harrell had 25-13

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 01:48 (four years ago)

i do not make bets but wizards over seemed like an easy one, they created a pretty deep roster that mostly makes sense

call all destroyer, Friday, 29 October 2021 01:49 (four years ago)

lol that rules

lag∞n, Friday, 29 October 2021 03:47 (four years ago)

watched the fourth quarter of bulls knicks and the bulls had lonzo checking randle for the final 5 mins or so and man was he giving randle problems

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 04:58 (four years ago)

lonzo is just a cool ass player

mens rea activist (k3vin k.), Friday, 29 October 2021 06:47 (four years ago)

he's come a long way!

Clay, Friday, 29 October 2021 06:54 (four years ago)

they don’t seem to wanna play patrick williams at the ends of games bcuz he can’t score so it’s been caruso with the 4 starters which basically leaves lonzo as the de facto stopper on any player who isn’t a center. he was up in randle’s shit tonight

J0rdan S., Friday, 29 October 2021 07:01 (four years ago)

Trae Young does not like the new officiating:

Hannibal Lecture (PBKR), Friday, 29 October 2021 10:55 (four years ago)

Especially a smaller guy like me who's going up against bigger and stronger defenders, they're using their body and they're using their legs and their hands to stop me."

Lol, the unmitigated gall of these defenders.
