Poole’s impressive even when he’s completely out of control

at the ends of games now the warriors can play steph & dray and some combo of poole, lee, wiggins, iggy and otto porter. not all of those guys will be reliable every night & the raw talent could be better but at least the structure of the rotation actually makes sense — guard, center and three wings is a great way to play. for most of last year they looked like a team that had no idea what it was trying to do during the course of the game or how it could piece together a sensible rotation for any sustained period of time

reggie jackson plays like he’s the steph curry of the clippers it’s pretty funny. i’m still scarred from the playoffs and assume any time he shoots a three it’s going in

the implication from earlier news seems like Simmons is counting on the recent press/public willingness to acknowledge athletes stepping back due to acute mental disorders as being a healthy and not a disruptive thing and he wants to say that's where he's at. Which maybe he is! But he seems to still expect to get paid, which is where he may be miscalculating league and fan response

like "everybody needs to take responsibility" is him saying that the team and player's public outspokenness about his breakdown in the playoffs contributed to his mental instability and coming back would be detrimental to his well being. Maybe so! But perhaps consider exploring nullifying/renegotiating your contract?

One obvious difference I see between Steph and Dame is that when Dame makes an impossible game-winning three he stares impassively like the assassin who just took you out, while Steph just runs down court laughing, like he's the happiest man on earth.

i think simmons is using the “mental health” card because if he claimed to have a physical injury the sixers could presumably force him to see doctors, get MRIs etc that would turn up no evidence of said injury. mental health status isn’t really “provable” in the same way — i’m not sure it has much to do with the public

i mean “back soreness” isn’t really provable either, of all the shit ben and his people have thrown against the wall mental health is probably one of the ones i believe the most.
