interesting that the gms prefer giannis to gobert so srongly when goberts getting all the award votes, dray also robbed tho its kind of understandable as hes not at the stage in his career anymore where he brings it every night

to be clear i would throw gobert in the trash hes a liability

yeah i mean it starts with him not being able to do anything on offense which then allows teams to go small on him and pull him away from the basket on D where hes not great

i think giannis is better either way but gobert at 2 is fine

jazz have done great with him obvs but players like him have kind of been solved

the contrast between him and ayton in the offs was telling, ayton can punish you for going small and moves his feet better on the perimeter, where rudy was just getting wrecked in both of those situations

surely theres some value to your team getting 50 wins every year with a medium roster even if you need other guys to win you games in the offs

idk you need your stars to be good in the playoffs its kinda the whole deal, hes basically a guy who plays very well in his system but is too easy to scheme against to be getting defense player of the year consideration IMHO

giannis and dray type guys is what you want super physical players who run around blowing up plays guarding everyone doing everything

simmons is like that too except it would be better if he liked basketball
