J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:39 (four years ago)

cp3 going out being a total asshole to the clippers is hysterical

J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:44 (four years ago)

lol yeah good stuff

lag∞n, Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:45 (four years ago)

Suns go to the Finals for their first trip since 1976. Nicely done, Suns.

it is to laugh, like so, ha! (Aimless), Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:47 (four years ago)

Barkley went in ‘93 with the Suns?

sknybrg, Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:50 (four years ago)

cant really take much joy in cp going to the finals tbh

micah, Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:50 (four years ago)

if it was going to happen i’m glad it happened at the expense of the clippers

J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:53 (four years ago)

I used to be a PatBev fan but this is embarrassing and they should throw the book at him

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:53 (four years ago)

well the whole genius of pat bev, as it were, is that he’s the one under control and getting under someone else’s skin, goading them into techs and ejections while never crossing the line. but when he’s the one shoving someone in the back it all kinda falls apart and he just looks like a petulant asshole. you can’t ever get out pat bev’d if you’re pat bev

J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:56 (four years ago)

i assume he’ll get suspended for like 5 games to start the season

J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:56 (four years ago)

Andrew Bynum tackled guys in midair three separate times and the third time he got a 3 game suspension

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 1 July 2021 03:57 (four years ago)

jae crowder has been a vital role player on back to back finals teams for two different franchises, low key of the better role player runs in recent history

J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 July 2021 04:09 (four years ago)

role player hollafame resume builder right there

man I love this suns team

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 04:32 (four years ago)

cousins had a lot of great reactions this game

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 04:32 (four years ago)

"I used to be a PatBev fan but this is embarrassing and they should throw the book at him"

Same

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 1 July 2021 05:27 (four years ago)

pat bev's been hunting for injuries this whole series, his whole career really. I enjoy all the other clown shit he pulls on some level, but hurting people isn't cool

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 05:50 (four years ago)

cp3 lying prone on the floor like he was just run over by a truck was a great touch

J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 July 2021 05:52 (four years ago)

funny how paul george, jokic, and lebron all didn't stick around to congratulate the suns post-series

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 06:13 (four years ago)

Booker and PG had words in the past.

pure rim rest (Spottie), Thursday, 1 July 2021 06:36 (four years ago)

Congrats to the suns. Cool young team way ahead of Schedule you just don’t see that.

pure rim rest (Spottie), Thursday, 1 July 2021 06:36 (four years ago)

Everyone otm re pat bev. I used to be an apologist but he showed his whole ass and now we know what he’s really about.

pure rim rest (Spottie), Thursday, 1 July 2021 06:40 (four years ago)

i missed this game (sad!) but had to look up the pat bev thing and HOLY shit, just drop him from the league

Clay, Thursday, 1 July 2021 07:17 (four years ago)

the lil bastard did it 🥺

k3vin k., Thursday, 1 July 2021 10:05 (four years ago)

Chris Paul postgame: "To do it here against the Clippers, this is my family too... Billy Crystal, that's my family."

lag∞n, Thursday, 1 July 2021 12:33 (four years ago)

Crystal is the OG Clippers fan, no?

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Thursday, 1 July 2021 12:50 (four years ago)

yeah

lag∞n, Thursday, 1 July 2021 12:56 (four years ago)

the very first one

ciderpress, Thursday, 1 July 2021 13:00 (four years ago)

billy "mr clipper (the first clipper)" crystal

lag∞n, Thursday, 1 July 2021 13:21 (four years ago)

little known fact that in the beginning the Clippers only played on Saturday nights as an homage

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Thursday, 1 July 2021 14:21 (four years ago)

funny how paul george, jokic, and lebron all didn't stick around to congratulate the suns post-series

Jokic did!

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 1 July 2021 15:00 (four years ago)

he gave ayton a signed jersey

lag∞n, Thursday, 1 July 2021 15:03 (four years ago)

40-point, no-turnover performances in conference finals (via @Stathead):

Shaquille O’Neal
Chris Paul

lag∞n, Thursday, 1 July 2021 15:45 (four years ago)

those are the types of dudes he’s on like every playoff leaderboard with, so happy he’s finally getting a shot

k3vin k., Thursday, 1 July 2021 15:52 (four years ago)

did jokic come back onto the floor after getting ejected? the signed jersey was awesome

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 16:25 (four years ago)

I just think it's interesting that the suns somehow piss off the opposing team's best players over a series so much that by the deciding game, those players either take insane rage-fouls or storm off the court

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 16:28 (four years ago)

^maybe because no one thinks they should lose to the Suns

that's not my post, Thursday, 1 July 2021 16:30 (four years ago)

and yet

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 16:36 (four years ago)

tbf they were a lottery team for like an entire decade & the last few years they were in dead last in the West, it took me half the season to realize they were actually good and even still I thought they were gonna get massacred by the Lakers

frogbs, Thursday, 1 July 2021 16:37 (four years ago)

the bubble run was a big clue, in retrospect. but I didn't think they'd beat a healthy lakers team either

CP

pure rim rest (Spottie), Thursday, 1 July 2021 16:56 (four years ago)

well yeah. booker, crowder and payne all talk a lot of shit too

symsymsym, Thursday, 1 July 2021 16:58 (four years ago)

none of them seem to care too much about being friendly w the competition

pure rim rest (Spottie), Thursday, 1 July 2021 17:08 (four years ago)

sun are a lil bit feisty, its nice

lag∞n, Thursday, 1 July 2021 17:17 (four years ago)

Paul's antics aside, I actually think the Suns carry themselves really, really well. I'm sure they talk, but Booker, Bridges and Ayton seem like relatively calm, cool and collected youngsters, and Crowder's wily vet moves are reasonable enough. None of 'em look like Pat Bev, Draymond, Boogie or Luka out there.

Booker in particular has evolved into exactly the kind of guy you want leading your team for 20 years. Talented, obviously, but also tough, even-keeled, willing to do the little stuff, says all the right stuff, seems passionate about team and winning. He may never be Kobe but he's definitely a guy you can hang a franchise on, imo.

alpine static, Thursday, 1 July 2021 17:19 (four years ago)

otm
Ayton is such a refreshing player in so many ways - personality at the podium as well as how he is reviving some old school big man energy but making it work in the era of hoisting
