Throughout these playoffs the guy I’ve ended up questioning the most is Capela. He’s looks like a tenth of the player he was in the regular season

hawks made a great run but i dont think theyre ready to beat the bucks

gallo was somehow -25 in 16 minutes. and he even scored 12 points

if my math is right the bucks shot 35-55 from two

without hunter the hawks don’t have any wing or perimeter defenders, really. the previous two match ups didn’t test them in those spots honestly tho seth curry had a good series. i don’t see any answers for them in this series on that end, capela can’t be a one man defense

The bucks are such a strange team because Giannis is just such a freight train that games can just get totally out of control. But a bogged down game they can look like a .500 team.

He’s been pretty amazing ever since he messed up that play in game 7 tho

He’s kind of a microcosm of their issues, like he’s a dude who can dominate on both ends and does a lot of little things right (at least things that do not involve the shot clock) and yet a lot of times they just park him at the 3 point line like he’s Bosh on the Heat. The Bucks are generally the more talented team in every playoff series they’ve been in but Budenholzer insists on this high variance sort of strategy where they shoot tons of 3s despite not being particularly good at them. So they’ll blow out their opponents sometimes but they also lose a lot of close games they shouldn’t. It’s kind of the opposite of what you want to do as the overdog

PG’s thing with shooting under 25% in the playoffs is out of control

It’s super weird.

i think we/sports ppl make too much over clutchness bc its usually such a small sample size that its a noisy stat, but i think hes got some serious playoff yips. it wouldnt be so bad if kawhi was there,

theres all sorts of playoff style basketball things that can cause problems but with him im not sure what theyd be his game actually seems like it would be good for the offs scoring from three levels size ballhandling and so forth

his reaction to the dame winner in okc was kinda what sealed it for me, like getting owned by an elite deep shooter and then saying "that was a bad shot" like he didnt just make it, like it suggests an entitlement to victories based on appropriate risk aversion or something

Those two missed FTs in game 2 kinda sealed that reputation for me. It’s not like Giannis or Simmons up there.
