im not saying he was as bad as bledsoe just that he had bledsoe vibes, there was a sense of fear one might even say cowardice about him

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 03:19 (five years ago)

the only trustworthy player on either team in a game seven is kd right everyone else is completely subject to shitting the bed

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 03:22 (five years ago)

apparently this was the first time in 3 years in which Giannis did not take a 3 in a playoff game

frogbs, Friday, 18 June 2021 03:53 (five years ago)

there’s no argument, based on the state of each team’s roster, as to why the nets should win game 7. it simply comes down to can the bucks execute under pressure, and to some extent if KD has enough left in the tank to carry the nets. but even that might not matter if the bucks lock up mentally. they’re the better team and if they play a good game they will win. alas…

J0rdan S., Friday, 18 June 2021 04:08 (five years ago)

if the bucks put giannis on kd for half the game the nets can't win, wonder how they'll talk themselves into not doing that

Clay, Friday, 18 June 2021 04:15 (five years ago)

I think it's safe to say we are all rooting for the Bucks (and, barring that, messy drama).

Vin Jawn (PBKR), Friday, 18 June 2021 11:19 (five years ago)

Nah, I wanna see the Nets kill 'em all. Unlikely to happen though

Nhex, Friday, 18 June 2021 13:01 (five years ago)

I am ambivalent about the series even tho I profess to hate the nets

k3vin k., Friday, 18 June 2021 13:36 (five years ago)

the bucks don’t really deserve to win and i wouldn’t mind continuing to watch kd play basketball.

call all destroyer, Friday, 18 June 2021 13:42 (five years ago)

but yeah blah blah small market existential crisis for the nba the bucks winning is “a good thing”

call all destroyer, Friday, 18 June 2021 13:43 (five years ago)

nets losing game seven is #1 on my list of playoff priorities i really dont want them to have a chance to get healthy, #2 is suns winning da chip

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 13:44 (five years ago)

i was skeptical before the offs but feel pretty confident now that healthy nets wouldve cruised to a title

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 13:46 (five years ago)

mostly cause their defense has been plenty good enough, tho obvs their big liability starting backcourt hasnt played

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 13:47 (five years ago)

the bucks don’t really deserve to win and i wouldn’t mind continuing to watch kd play basketball.

― call all destroyer, Friday, June 18, 2021 9:42 AM (thirty-one minutes ago)

yeah it comes down to not respecting the bucks for me

k3vin k., Friday, 18 June 2021 14:15 (five years ago)

this has been a rough playoffs

burly crafty woodsman (James Harden) vs tall ethereal phantom (forksclovetofu), Friday, 18 June 2021 14:39 (five years ago)

I’ve enjoyed it even in my frustrations. Still cheering for the bucks vs suns.

pure rim rest (Spottie), Friday, 18 June 2021 14:42 (five years ago)

I post this only in order to object to it

I hate with poison this whose-erection-do-I-admire-more approach to sportswriting

obviously I'm totally biased here but I do think having several consecutive titles won by teams whose 2-3 best players weren't on the team two years ago is probably bad for the league. like the Nets to me still don't feel like a real squad but rather some "create-a-team" feature in NBA2k

frogbs, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:15 (five years ago)

It’s insulting to say, and it might hurt to hear it, but it’s true. Grown men win NBA titles. Not Twitter warriors. Not Kardashian divas.

Grown.

Men.

symsymsym, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:17 (five years ago)

xp oh sure, it's extremely bad

call all destroyer, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:18 (five years ago)

there's only 3 teams in the league now that are like that fortunately, but a finals between two of them is still on the table

ciderpress, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:26 (five years ago)

I love the Bucks and respect them

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:26 (five years ago)

even if its only 3 teams, that's 3 teams whose ticket to the conf finals can only really be derailed by injury, which is pretty much what's happening now

frogbs, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:32 (five years ago)

When he's on, Giannis is the most joyous player in the game, I feel

Guayaquil (eephus!), Friday, 18 June 2021 15:33 (five years ago)

which of course is also bad for the league. I mean I wanted the Lakers to lose but more than that I wanted a *healthy* Lakers to lose

frogbs, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:34 (five years ago)

i think i’m rooting for a suns or jazz title at this point. i want to see the bucks lose in game 7 i think it would be dramatic and add more intrigue to the league

J0rdan S., Friday, 18 June 2021 15:36 (five years ago)

dramatic in that it will spurn several hundred "what the fuck was Milwaukee trying to do in the 4th" posts on ILH

frogbs, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:40 (five years ago)

Bucks knocking off injury-plagued Nets and then folding to Sixers would be maximally disappointing outcome I think (and I like the Sixers)

Guayaquil (eephus!), Friday, 18 June 2021 15:43 (five years ago)

thew sixers aren't playing next round

Heez, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:48 (five years ago)

hawks suns would be the finals everyone was predicting

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:51 (five years ago)

Bucks have dominated Philly in the regular season the last few years, I think it's a good matchup for them

frogbs, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:55 (five years ago)

bucks have dominated this sixers team in reg season i think

ciderpress, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:56 (five years ago)

yeah that

ciderpress, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:56 (five years ago)

bucks-sixers would be the most anxiety riddled playoff series i can remember

J0rdan S., Friday, 18 June 2021 15:56 (five years ago)

never have two teams tried so hard to win the eastern conference and not been able to

ciderpress, Friday, 18 June 2021 15:58 (five years ago)

neither team would score more than 16 points in a fourth quarter and there’d be 85 combined missed fourth quarter free throws

J0rdan S., Friday, 18 June 2021 16:04 (five years ago)

lol

#Sixers coach Doc Rivers on mood of the team going into Game 6: 'Win the game, be aggressive, play. ... I think our guys are ready, but you never know.'

— Tom Moore (@TomMoorePhilly) June 18, 2021

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 22:28 (five years ago)

sometimes these coaches are too honest lmao

pure rim rest (Spottie), Friday, 18 June 2021 22:30 (five years ago)

doc rivers on game 6: "who gives a shit"

Clay, Friday, 18 June 2021 22:33 (five years ago)

"you know you just go out there and try to do basketball stuff i guess, hope for the best"

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 22:34 (five years ago)

there's no better time to have the yips than the playoffs baby

Clay, Friday, 18 June 2021 23:27 (five years ago)

just as a reminder to everyone who's been feeling a bit disappointed in these playoffs so far: the Lakers were eliminated in the first round. good times.

What's It All About, Althea? (Aimless), Friday, 18 June 2021 23:27 (five years ago)

that was pretty cool

lag∞n, Friday, 18 June 2021 23:28 (five years ago)

these playoffs have been good imo

pure rim rest (Spottie), Friday, 18 June 2021 23:49 (five years ago)

rough start for the sixers (elimination game)

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 June 2021 00:00 (five years ago)

i enjoyed the laker elimination, i'll give you that.
suns/hawks would genuinely be a lot of fun but i was riding for suns/pistons and i'm still riding for suns/pistons eskettit

burly crafty woodsman (James Harden) vs tall ethereal phantom (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 19 June 2021 00:07 (five years ago)

embiid four turnovers in the 1st quarter

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 June 2021 00:16 (five years ago)

maybe finally saving energy for the 4th

pure rim rest (Spottie), Saturday, 19 June 2021 00:17 (five years ago)

i keep forgetting who the clippers are even in a series with, that's how you leave your stamp on the post-season right there
