I'm barely following, but I was surprised to see the Bucks ahead by so much, so I looked in during the third quarter and got caught up in the ongoing comeback immediately. In all my time as a sporadic basketball fan, I don't know that I've ever seen a player take over a game like Durant did last night. There was a run of threes where it felt like he could have launched it from anywhere, it was going in.

re: cp3 the only frame of reference i have is the situation with the yankees and gleyber torres. torres was vaccinated but tested positive (amidst a locker room-wide outbreak in which 8/9 of the people infected were vaxxed) and was forced to the covid list. he only wound up missing 8 days (6 games), because mlb protocols permit an asymptomatic player to return to action after two negative tests.

hopefully cp3 is vaccinated, and if the nba has a similar policy to mlb, he could be back in a week or so. if he isn't...well he's out at least two weeks.

Given his injury history I’d imagine Kawhi will miss a season. Maybe it could be one of those sprains that doesn’t need surgery but you gotta tread him with kid gloves.

tbh attributing kawhi's injury to the compressed schedule seems specious to me, ppl in all sports tear their ACLs planting and exploding all the time, just feels like one of those random unavoidable things. he was one of the most rested stars this year
