could be one explanation for why it didnt look like a normal basketball play
― lag∞n, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:13 (five years ago)
they certainly tell you something about intention
― butyrate humbucker bobbins (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, June 13, 2021 10:12 PM (seventeen seconds ago) bookmarkflaglink
watch it again and tell me he was worried at all about what he was going to hit on the way down
― call all destroyer, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:13 (five years ago)
Well coming from a guy who apparently thinks a windup is part of stripping a ball, I don't think NBA refs gonna lose much sleep over what Matt thinks of them
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 14 June 2021 02:13 (five years ago)
*personally* i think he was trying to get the forearm
― call all destroyer, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:14 (five years ago)
if the nuggets pulled this out and jokic gets suspended for game 5 ....
― Clay, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:14 (five years ago)
it was so obviously a frustration foul and he did it in a dangerous manner not too complicated
― lag∞n, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:15 (five years ago)
It's not a sacred hoops rule about being ejected.
It's one of the main things ref are trained to look for when deciding flagrants
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 14 June 2021 02:15 (five years ago)
and yeah likely didnt even mean to his paynes face, but also didnt really care
don’t know how you could watch that and not see that he had bad intentions yah
― Spottie, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:16 (five years ago)
He was trying to commit a really hard frustration foul, strangely almost got all ball. It’s a flagrant 1. Everyone here knows it was a flagrant 1, we’ve all watched a lot of basketball here. It’s weird that they went 2.
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:16 (five years ago)
Most of us thought it was a 2 tho. Surprised the refs agreed
― Spottie, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:17 (five years ago)
right matt. so we're arguing the minutiae of the fact that you think it's a travesty that it was a 2 and many of us are saying that it was close and could have been a 1 or a 2.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:18 (five years ago)
this sport is definitely soccer now. crazy calls to goose the narrative of a series that was over anyway.
― butyrate humbucker bobbins (Sufjan Grafton), Monday, 14 June 2021 02:18 (five years ago)
Meanwhile is anyone gonna make a shot in this game
― Spottie, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:18 (five years ago)
xp that's a bizarre thing to say
― call all destroyer, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:19 (five years ago)
the number of times two nuggets have run into each other on offense is not great, most of them seem to involve MPJ
― k3vin k., Monday, 14 June 2021 02:19 (five years ago)
Oh yay after the obligatory "Refs are bad" comment we get the "it's all part of a league-directed conspiracy" comment
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 14 June 2021 02:21 (five years ago)
nuggs don't have a coherent offense without jokic for a stretch this long, that's not surprising xp
― Clay, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:21 (five years ago)
cp3 out there playing like a carefree 24 year old, what a delight
― Clay, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:23 (five years ago)
yeah it’s bittersweet as hell watching chris live this out at the nuggets expense ;_;
― k3vin k., Monday, 14 June 2021 02:24 (five years ago)
he is loving life right now
― call all destroyer, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:24 (five years ago)
13-17 on 2s, no 3s, 7/7 from the line
Never had so much fun watching the little bastard
― Spottie, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:25 (five years ago)
For him it's gotta be the most fun team he's been on no? He's been on so many maybe I'm forgetting one. Maybe Lob City initially
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 14 June 2021 02:25 (five years ago)
cp3 knows his own game and plays within it

someone interview julius hodge about having been punched in the nads by chris paul
― mookieproof, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:26 (five years ago)
I was a big Julius Hodge era NC state fan and obviously Marvin Williams is a trigger for me but damn I really enjoy watching Chris play
― Heez, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:26 (five years ago)
Lol
― Heez, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:27 (five years ago)
that was a pretty sick dunk by MPJ lol
― k3vin k., Monday, 14 June 2021 02:27 (five years ago)
julius hodge could play
― mookieproof, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:28 (five years ago)
I think hodge actually played for the nuggets at one point and got shot in Colorado or something
― Heez, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:28 (five years ago)
suns have lost one playoff game in 9 games against the lakers and nuggets, that is pretty good tbh
― Clay, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:29 (five years ago)
took a shot to the nuggets at the very least iirc

this seems like it must be extra fun because the talent is so young and so good. like not everything is on his shoulders all the time but when he needs to command and control he has great shooters and a great roll man and everyone fits.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:30 (five years ago)
6 straight wins and none have been close
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 14 June 2021 02:31 (five years ago)
I think he had fun w okc last year but this is a step up for sure
― Spottie, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:34 (five years ago)
I really thought this would go at least 6
― Spottie, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:35 (five years ago)
can't imagine anybody had a sweep here
― Clay, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:36 (five years ago)
xp a flagrant 6? really!?
― butyrate humbucker bobbins (Sufjan Grafton), Monday, 14 June 2021 02:36 (five years ago)
dever defense was just... ineffective
― lag∞n, Monday, 14 June 2021 02:38 (five years ago)
aww booker hugging random suns fans. i have to say i like him, i think he gets it.

― Sabre of Paradise (trevor phillips), Monday, 14 June 2021 03:05 (five years ago)
"Earlier in these playoffs the league ruled"
Lol you talking even more about bad refs was exactly what I did not want
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 14 June 2021 03:06 (five years ago)
cp and monty hugging was so cute
― symsymsym, Monday, 14 June 2021 03:17 (five years ago)
cp3 series numbers are unbelievable
― lag∞n, Monday, 14 June 2021 03:22 (five years ago)
I hate that I have to wait so long to see whether this Nuggets roster really works. I do think they should trade for Grayson Allen just to contribute to the discourse
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 14 June 2021 03:29 (five years ago)
they have campazzo so that's basically the same thing
― call all destroyer, Monday, 14 June 2021 03:46 (five years ago)
campazzo actually translates as 'comparable asshole'
― butyrate humbucker bobbins (Sufjan Grafton), Monday, 14 June 2021 03:53 (five years ago)
CP3 one of the players who impressed me the most when seeing him play in person. Been at a couple of his games but the one that made big impression on me was the one I had worse seats for. Having that overhead view made it that much more apparent how he plays not necessarily his defender but the entire defense like his puppet. Knew how to get the defense to do what he wanted, and then when they stopped falling into that trap he immediately switched ploys and used the Ds adjustment to his advantage. Point God.
