the bridges trade was one of the more incredible draft night scouting calls in recent history… the suns traded an extra first to get him. bridges was considered a better prospect but not by some
huge margin, it was a pretty aggressive bet and it ended up being a home run

paul just playing out of his mind and providing the mortar that organization needs. i thought he was third in MVP consideration ahead of steph and behind jokic and embiid but i may have underrated him

crazy thing is hes prob not even fully healthy right now

Booker is such a great complement to him with his ability to both run the offense and play off-ball so well.

Booker running the offense I mean because when CP3 doesn't have a costar who can do that he always ends up trying to do too much.

really love their role players. It is such a well-constructed roster. Whenever Payne is in I always expect him to be the weak link and that they're gonna have to just gut through those minutes, but he's like actually good!

otoh it is tough to watch Facu forced to try (and mostly fail, so far anyway) to do so much more than would be his ideal role

feel like every time ive watched booker play hes made at least one insane midrange shot and made it look easy but then hes consistently leaving fairly routine 3s short

booker's midrange ability off the dribble makes him a pretty incredible playoff player. gotta be able to get to a spot and hit a tough pull up J in the offs still

the thing that's great about the suns is they have 3 wing defenders so booker is never taxed on defense. the nets of all teams left would be the ones who could really expose him defensively the way other teams can't... if they face the jazz they'd prob just stick him on royce o neal? they match up nice w/ the clippers esp given that the clippers don't want to put a center on the floor

yeah that one was so pretty. i'm probably projecting but seeing that happen with barton specifically seems like a testament to how long their core has been together. murray, barton, millsap have logged so many minutes with jokic, they know what he's capable of. his is a good brain to meld with

this is why going into the playoffs i liked them. nothing they did all regular season was flukey. just a sound defensive team + two incredible half court shot creators + solid role players and vets. even saric was huge last night. they arent reliant on the three ball like the jazz and clips. the only thing that MAY be a little flukey is cam payne, but hes been doing it really since the bubble so this might just be who he is now. he really is fun to watch, one of the quickest first steps in the league and also that insane looking 90 degree body turn jump shot.
