clippers conceded switches again tonight and mitchell absolutely roasted whoever the jazz wanted, kennard in particular. with booker on the horizon and then possibly the nets it seems like the clippers are going to need quasi super human two way performances from kawhi to win the title bcuz no one else on that team can guard for shit, apparently

this will sound....harsh but i don't think you plan for much of a future with a guy like embiid. if the window to make a run is open even a little bit you need to take it.

This is kind of where I am at. Joel's 27 now. Given his body/style of play/luck you have maybe 3 more seasons of him at his theoretical peak and if you keep waiting for him to be healthy and for all the stars to align you may just miss his prime entirely. I'm not sure there is a right answer (as long as it's not just totally ignoring the medicals), but I don't blame them for taking a shot this year.

This is why they need Dame immediately. Can they get him before Gm 3?

I really like Thybulle. This series is the first I've watched much of him and I don't really see why he doesn't get more of Danny Green's minutes

Danny in theory is a better player, also just 'experience' but yah he's slipped quite a bit. chance for him to three-peat tho

Kawhi never fighting over picks makes me wonder about that season where the Spurs had a worse defense with him

Thybulle is a defensive monster, but he only shot 30% from 3 this year (after shooting nearly 36% last year). Danny Greene shot 40% and the Sixers are always starved for shooting.

A lot (I mean a lot) of games this year Thybulle's steals + blocks > his points. If he could shoot 36% from 3 he would be an instant starter.

some very bruce bowen numbers except bruce was better at shooting threes

he feels like one of those players who minutes will really fluctuate in the playoffs depending on the match up. this is a good one for him bcuz the hawks are playing three guards a lot of the time. i could see him playing way less mins against the bucks or clippers who are more wing dependent, but against the nets he'd prob get a ton of run. and if he has a game where he randomly shoots 2-4 from three then it prob shakes out in your favor

he is a -4 right now so as much as the nuggets can use any guard i'm not sure the needle is moving.

bigger problem is that michael porter may need to get taken out of this game.

the bridges trade was one of the more incredible draft night scouting calls in recent history… the suns traded an extra first to get him. bridges was considered a better prospect but not by some
huge margin, it was a pretty aggressive bet and it ended up being a home run
