most important quarter of the season for the mavs and hardaway jr and zinger have been pretty much invisible

i agree with spottie. the style of play can work and in fact is a pretty ideal way for a team to play basketball but he needs to be able to handle it physically i.e. lebron

it might be asking too much of him tho most people arent lebron

porzingis needs to learn to score on smaller players would be a nice start for them

he should still be able to back guys down who are half a foot shorter than him. there’s stuff he can do on offense at least that don’t require agility. defense idk, that’s a real issue

yeah part of it is prob he learned how to play one way and now he cant play that way anymore

Almost relieved as a Dallas fan. Hard to watch Luka having to go it almost alone

just two of the 10 Mavericks who have played in this game were acquired after January 2019: Boban Marjanovic and Josh Richardson. Dallas hasn't meaningfully improved the roster around Luka Doncic in 2.5 years.

teams will go small on dallas in the playoffs until zinger can take whoever is guarding him into the paint and put 6 straight points on him

Zinger will never take anyone in the paint doesn’t have the lower strength to do it.

he needs to figure out a way to score over guys who are 6’ 6”, he doesn’t need to body other centers. i don’t think it should take all that much, he needs to actually develop his game. this series should be a wake up call for him

i think both he and the mavs were just content to think of him as a floor spacer but if this series is any indication that’s not a role for him that will have much impact in the playoffs
