As enjoyable a game as you could ask for last night but finding it hard to believe Boston can win more than one more against the Nets.

given their current state its pretty wild that they got one that wasnt just a 3-0 gift, if they win two well that reflects poorly on the nets

yam

Yam Madar's (Celtics 2020 draft pick) stats in 2020-21:

✅ 17.1 PPG on 50-41-83 splits
✅ 54-132 on threes
✅ 5.2 APG
✅ 1.3 SPG
✅ 30 games

His team finished 10th with 12-18 record and did not qualify to postseason. I'll have his "best highlights" video coming out soon. pic.twitter.com/hYInYZAqow

kemba thompson and picks for lonzo (s&t) and adams

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 May 2021 18:55 (five years ago)

i would like that, i still think lonzo is good

ciderpress, Sunday, 30 May 2021 19:05 (five years ago)

i think lonzo has found his level and its quality starter, also smart-lonzo-jaylen-jayson-rob would be an insane defensive starting five

idk why nola would do the trade except that it kinda feels in line with their other recent decisions

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 May 2021 19:09 (five years ago)

its a simple case of knuckleheadishness

Marcus Smart said the fan who threw a water bottle at Kyrie Irving was located very quickly and taken care of. Smart said one bad seed doesn’t mean the whole fruit is poisoned. “We just had a knucklehead do something knuckleheadish.”

lol what a squad

call all destroyer, Monday, 31 May 2021 15:16 (five years ago)

hey now can’t abide by any Dino Radja slander.

It’s nuts that Dee Brown and Barros both started... other 2 PGs on that team were David Wesley and Sherman Douglas, so Brown listed at 6’1” was the tallest of the 4!

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Monday, 31 May 2021 16:46 (five years ago)

lol that was one of the things pitino complained about when he got there, immediately traded wesley, who went on to be a solid player for years to come

lag∞n, Monday, 31 May 2021 16:50 (five years ago)

thats the nba jam squad right there

Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge is seriously considering his future with the franchise and could make a decision to step down, sources tell ESPN.

the poetry of danny ainge

Ainge: "When I had a heart attack two years ago, I started to think about what I was doing with my life and what I want to accomplish. I don’t know what my future holds. I don't have any plans...I’ll think about the future somewhere in the future."

um

As Danny Ainge moves on from Boston, a possible landing spot, in some capacity: The Utah Jazz. As rumors of Ainge's exit rippled through the NBA in recent months, a role with the Jazz has been seen as a potential next step.

from the athletic

What happens to Mike Zarren and Austin Ainge?

Changes could still come. Stevens said he has not yet thought much about the structure of the front office but intends to “dive into that” soon. Still, Danny Ainge suggested Stevens will likely keep much of the front office, if not all of the front office, intact.

“He has a great staff with Mike and Austin and Dave (Lewin) and Remy (Cofield) and Jake (Eastman) and Allison (Feaster),” Ainge said. “And just a great staff already in place, and that with Brad’s leadership and his organization and his work ethic and intelligence, I think it’s going to be great.”

While stating he plans to lean on the guys with front office experience, Stevens mentioned both Zarren and Austin Ainge as if he hopes to keep them both in the organization.

“I know there’s a lot of work to do, and I will say, and I think it’s really important to say, Danny mentioned it earlier, we’re set up not only from a player standpoint, but we’ve got great coaches that are in the building – you know, Mike Zarren, Austin and that whole entire group, they’re going to make this transition very easy because they’re high, high level at what they do,” Stevens said. “They know the ins and outs of everything that needs to be known, and I’m looking forward to working with them, leaning on their expertise as I transition, leaning on Danny’s expertise as he transitions and going from there.”

CELTICS WIN THE NETS TRADE

— Ryan Bernardoni AC⚡️AB (@dangercart) June 20, 2021

EZ Snappin, Sunday, 20 June 2021 03:44 (five years ago)

Another thing to keep in mind is that as soon as the draft is past the C's can trade their 2022 pick so they haven't encumbered future pick trading ability at all. It does mean that any trades that cost two picks become troublesome b/c you do then tie up picks far down the line.

— Ryan Bernardoni AC⚡️AB (@dangercart) June 18, 2021

Yep. The timing of the trade was "weird" in relation to most trades happening closer to the draft but moving Kemba needed to happen pre-draft for both trade kicker and future pick flexibility reasons: https://t.co/mWARqRNZxc

— Ryan Bernardoni AC⚡️AB (@dangercart) June 21, 2021

this trade is heartening from a technical pov a lot of rookie gms screw up small cap details like this, obvs brads got a very knowledgable team in place but he does have to listen to them

lag∞n, Monday, 21 June 2021 15:25 (five years ago)

“I just really liked Kemba,” Stevens said. “Period, end of story. He is a super-likable person.”

Brooklyn Nets assistant coach Ime Udoka is believed to be a frontrunner in the Boston Celtics' Head Coaching search at the current moment.
