jeff foster looked so much like a euro but was not
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 02:19 (five years ago)
jeff foster played for 13 years as a backup center on the same team which seems inconceivable these days even though it wasn't that long ago!
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 6 May 2021 02:20 (five years ago)
that is crazy, even for then, jeff foster indy institution salute
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 02:21 (five years ago)
yeah if you stick in one place for that long you must be doing something right
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 6 May 2021 02:25 (five years ago)
wtf the refs just reviewed a non-foul on Westbrook for 5 minutes and still got the call wrong
― frogbs, Thursday, 6 May 2021 02:31 (five years ago)
wow crazy last 3 minutes in Bucks Wizards

still got the call wrong
if it was originally called a foul by the ref on the floor, then there's a tendency to want really clear visual evidence to overturn it. i think their outlook is that we (refs) get lots of shit w/o us (refs) dumping on each other.

This is what led up to the Greg Foster blow up with Bitadze. He let Harkless get to the rim for a 2nd chance dunk and got scolded for not contesting. Bitadze responds w/ a 3 and when he runs back you can read his lips pretty clearly. “Sit the f$&@ down.” That did it #PacersKings pic.twitter.com/oFEmdUpPUl— J. Michael (@ThisIsJMichael) May 6, 2021

unfortunately telling your coach to “sit the fuck down” is still “frowned upon”
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 6 May 2021 12:19 (five years ago)
I don’t think the Greg Foster thing is a big deal. Bitadze probably needs that approach to some degree.
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 6 May 2021 12:32 (five years ago)
When Jeff Foster played for the Pacers they called him “Feisty Foster” for a while and I’ve never gotten it out of my mind entirely

its true that assistants shouldnt be standing up

He has a strong case for rookie of the year. Coming on strong to end the season.
― i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Thursday, 6 May 2021 14:35 (five years ago)
watching that Suns Hawks game last night got me thinking that the suns should make a run at John Collins
― Heez, Thursday, 6 May 2021 14:39 (five years ago)
edwards year has been a typical rookie season for a player who is obviously going to be very good in that hes shown the flashes of brilliance while being usually pretty bad, and in edwards case genuinely pretty awful for much of the year, lamelo on the other hand has been actually good as in playing winning basketball, almost from day one, if endwards gets it its an outrage, we burn down league headquarters
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 14:42 (five years ago)
I think it's still probably lamelo, but edwards was not only a rookie but also dealt with..frankly, being a timberwolf...and a coaching change midseason.
he's improved so much since the all-star break. i'm pretty confident now that chris finch is at least a competent NBA coach. if finch had been here since the start of the season, who knows where he'd be.

agree, but lamelo missed a month so its not totally unfathomable. prob wont happen tho. some really cool players in this draft tho overall, already contributing.
― i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Thursday, 6 May 2021 15:10 (five years ago)
rookie of the year is probably the award for which games played is least important
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 6 May 2021 15:11 (five years ago)
Really hoping campazzo gets a vote
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 6 May 2021 15:17 (five years ago)
Okongwu's turned in to a decent back up to Capela, but the kid is still pretty raw. Had a really nice game last night
― Heez, Thursday, 6 May 2021 15:31 (five years ago)
the alien-replaced imposter who looks a lot like julius randle should win rookie of the year
― the mai tai quinn (voodoo chili), Thursday, 6 May 2021 15:35 (five years ago)
if campazzo is eligible julius randle might as well be
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 May 2021 15:43 (five years ago)
just looking at randles numbers and a lot of his improvement there is just 3pt shooting, both taking and making more, and tbf his overall usage is up, but i was thinking he kind of sucked before but he was putting up like just sub allstar numbers, and now hes putting up solid allstar numbers, on a dece team too which he never had before, havent watched the knicks much this year or last so not sure really about his role changing, wld imagine hes handling the ball more too as his assists and shots are both up, anyway not sure what my point is here kudos to him
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 15:49 (five years ago)
yeah they just give him the ball a lot and let him go to work but it’s the outside shooting that really unlocks it. he can take some tough ones off the dribble now and make them.
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 6 May 2021 16:01 (five years ago)
i will be happily taking the proverbial under on all julius randle expectations for next season
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 May 2021 16:07 (five years ago)
yeah tough to believe at least some of this isnt a heater, especially when the whole league is on one
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 16:08 (five years ago)
he’s extension eligible this offseason so the knicks will likely do something insane like give him $100 million
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 May 2021 16:14 (five years ago)
well yeah then theyll have everything in place to lure a top free agent
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 16:17 (five years ago)
Pacers are suspending assistant Greg Foster for one game and fining Goga Bitadze for exchange on court Wednesday, sources tell ESPN. Foster and Bitadze have had a strong working relationship this season and that’s expected to continue, but emotions are running high in Indiana.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) May 6, 2021
just two fiery competitors
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 16:21 (five years ago)
strong "i have 40 fucking points" lavine vibes from bitadze on that one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx48bMoPhcoproblem is... he's not a 'star' so the coach can bite back.
― i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Thursday, 6 May 2021 16:36 (five years ago)
idk coaching having to be held back on the sideline prob not going to come out the winner on this one

saw some talk on twitter that bjorkgren might not make it past this season, feel like somethings got to be going on there more than just losing for a first year coach to already be on the hot seat
― lag∞n, Thursday, 6 May 2021 17:02 (five years ago)
it sounds like he's just an asshole
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 6 May 2021 17:06 (five years ago)
a player taunting his own coach after scoring a single basket after being chastised for not contesting a shot doesn't seem like an interaction that happens if there is mutual respect between the team and the staff
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 May 2021 17:08 (five years ago)
yeah lol
