sknybrg, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 04:35 (five years ago)

it was a fun curry game until that moment

sknybrg, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 04:35 (five years ago)

yikes that one seems like bad news... planting like that and immediately grabbing the knee, looks like a lot of ACL type injuries of the past

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 04:40 (five years ago)

just caught this and oof my condolences to our nuggets friends here at ilh

Clay, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 05:21 (five years ago)

fuck

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 10:15 (five years ago)

injuries suck, should be illegal

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 12:43 (five years ago)

Jamal’s game puts so much stress on his knees and this was probably inevitable

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 15:05 (five years ago)

murray acl confirmed. that really really sucks.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 15:05 (five years ago)

Mad scientists have come up with some thing where ACL injuries barely matter but this sucks for the entirely plausible 2021 playoff run the nuggets could have had

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 16:08 (five years ago)

devastating news

voodoo chili, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 16:13 (five years ago)

oy, so close

this really felt like it could have been the year huh?

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 13 April 2021 16:59 (five years ago)

they had as good a shot as anybody

i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:00 (five years ago)

i'm not sure that's entirely true...........

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:13 (five years ago)

the only way to win is not to play (the regular season games, which will tear your ACL)

besides the lakers

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:40 (five years ago)

i believed in the nuggets this year, they were just starting to come together. the lakers have two stars who are injured so we cant say they look dominant like they did last year (they may be fine once the offs come)

i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:41 (five years ago)

i think 8 teams have (had) a fair shot this year. especially with lal possibly vulnerable

LAL
Bklyn
LAC
Phi
Mil
Utah
Den
Phx

i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:45 (five years ago)

all those teams aren't equal, imo

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:47 (five years ago)

imo its pretty wide open this year but i do like the lakers the best, their supporting cast is better than last year, obvs there are injury concerns but they seem pretty committed to getting those guys healthy which could turn out to be a net benefit to them

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:50 (five years ago)

Jord thinks you can’t do well in the playoffs building around a big man, unless he plays for the Heat

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:52 (five years ago)

i think "believing in" or not is really the point, the nuggets were set to play 2-3 massively entertaining and competitive playoff series and now that will be significantly diminished. murray is someone who you want to see in the playoffs and now we don't get that.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:53 (five years ago)

*is not really the point

obv. but i wouldn't be truly surprised by any of those (outside of phx maybe)

clearly the biggest loss here yah

i would be quite surprised if phx or utah made it out of the west

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 17:58 (five years ago)

utah shouldve tried to get aaron gordon

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:00 (five years ago)

every team in the west is pretty flawed. if the lakers are healthy i think they might cruise again. i just don't think the clippers have it.

utah has the best record in the league and best point differential by a pretty good margin. i dont think theyll do it but those are usually good indicators

i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:05 (five years ago)

clippers relying on some historic 3 point shooting this season.

i was too much listening to your accent (Spottie), Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:06 (five years ago)

the clippers went all in to create a super team that would sweep their way to a championship. and failed.

this was true for the bucks and it turned out their roster didn't work in the playoffs. this is prob what will end up happening w/ utah. that being said if you told me i had to bet my life on either the jazz or clips coming out of the west i might actually go w/ the jazz at this point

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:07 (five years ago)

the clippers are suspect on things like "fit" "being a team" "having a point guard" "paul george not shitting the bed in the playoffs" but theyve got so much talent have had another year together and are having a pretty great season tbh 1st in offense and 10th in D, they a serious threat IMHO

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:07 (five years ago)

tbf they have really good shooters + the whole league is nuts from 3 this year

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:08 (five years ago)

to me they're basically a two man team and i'm not sure their two men are good enough

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:09 (five years ago)

utah is putting up regular season stats in the most meaningless regular season ever. they don't have top-end talent, they don't have depth, and they rely on multiple guys who can get exposed in a competitive series

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:10 (five years ago)

agree that this regular season means even less than usual. but i don't think utah has less depth than the other contenders save the lakers - if clarkson can keep it going and they can survive favors' minutes spelling gobert, they have a pretty solid playoffs-shortened rotation. their issue is how heavily they rely on gobert getting exploited and blown up, as has happened in playoffs past

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:19 (five years ago)

the clippers have the illusion of depth with lots of familiar names, but i agree with J0rdan that in actual fact they're more of a 2 man team. otoh all those dudes in their 30s with lots of playoff experience, prob makes a difference if you run into someone like the suns or whatever who havent all been there before. it's actually an insane amount of postseason experience btwn kawhi, rondo, ibaka, etc

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:23 (five years ago)

if royce o neal can’t hit open three pointers the jazz are gonna have a big problem bcuz then they don’t have a single two way wing player and that seems prohibitive to me currently if you’re trying to win a title

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:26 (five years ago)

royce, bogdan, favors, crawford are all a little scary to be relying on for much.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:27 (five years ago)

xp yes. he really is the wildcard. it's kind of inexplicable they didn't upgrade at the deadline, but idk maybe they tried.

looking forward to the think pieces about how Royce O'Neale is the secret most important player in the playoffs. they won't be entirely wrong

i trust bogdan and favors in their respective roles. in true bench scorer fashion clarkson will probably both win and lose them a game here or there

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:29 (five years ago)

i think the suns are really close to the ideal playoff rotation. they have 2 guards who can get a shot off on anyone, three legit 3 and D players and a center who is pretty mobile and doesn’t need to score. i think they’re just missing one more big man and some experience. but on paper that rotation fits together perfectly

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:32 (five years ago)

a suns-clippers 2/3 match up would be really interesting. the suns have bodies to throw at the clippers wings and have a huge match up advantage vs the clippers guards.

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:35 (five years ago)

suns taking the clippers out would be very funny i support it

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 April 2021 18:41 (five years ago)
