there's going to be some foul trouble and some missed rotations and he can't play a ton of minutes but he's super talented and it's time to take him out on the highway and see what he can do

he gets an insane amount of steals for a bigman, hes averaging 1 in only 15mins a game, if you extrapolate that to starters minutes he would be... leading the nba! (and he would be second in blocks)

yeah overall he has a really good activity level and he usually channels his activity in positive ways. i think his passing could really help too, he's happy to move the ball and about once a game he'll make a wow pass

he can do stuff he makes plays hes not tristan thompson give the guy a shot

i have never figured out the difference between jay king and jared weiss, any guidance is appreciated

weiss is a lil bit more nerdy and king is more jocky i think, like weiss writes stories for the athletic that have play diagrams in them where king writes stories for the athletic that have quotes about playing harder in them, but yeah very similar guys

ok that helps, feel like i've seen a couple of nice pieces on celtics xs and os so those must have been weiss. robb i know because he's dabbled in radio and other stuff and i think he's a reasonably sharp observer of the team in general. happy he's now at masslive where i can read him.

As a new Athletic subscriber this season I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by the quality of their coverage, especially Weiss. I had/have the impression he was hired off one of the blogs and was expecting him to basically be Kevin O’Connor but he’s a way better writer

xp maybe worth it if you need deep semi-contrarian patriots coverage but those days are behind me

the beauty of trading for collins is he makes $4m so matching salaries is no problem, then you have the tpe for another player, this assumes celtics ownership is willing to go deep into the luxury for the foreseeable future

where as if you put together a big package for aaron gordon you get only one player

going all in with john collins is a really tough call for me. i haven’t decided on it yet.

he's a borderline all-star at a position that is at a v high premium, the Big Wing

he’s a good player and i feel like they could figure out how to hide him on defense but if you do it that’s your team and you better be making really serious playoff runs.

one name i heard for the celtics that is not sexy but would be super helpful is evan fournier.

That would be a great duo to bring in but it feels like too many things have to fall just right for it to happen. Fournier alone is not gonna do it.

I know there’s all the buzz about Harrison Barnes but I just can’t help thinking of him as like the most boring notable player in the league

i was wondering if brandon ingram had ever gotten his three-pointer blocked before

he has the kind of athleticism that people arent ready for, like ingram couldve done something to insure he didnt get that shot blocked but it didnt occur to him that it was a possibility, he was not ready

williams is increasingly fun to watch
