The Blazers beat the Sixers 121-105 tonight. Dame, McCollum, Nurkic and Derrick Jones Jr. were out because of injuries. Of all the players for the Blazers, only Covington was a starter on opening night, but he was coming back from an injury and only scored 9 points in 35 minutes. So, it was almost exclusively their bench who got this W. Weird season.

Warriors beat the Mavs with 9 players and Steph sat the whole 4th quarter. Mavs gotta figure some stuff out.

i doubt luka's in peak shape yet but other than that i'm not sure what he's supposed to be doing better. i wonder if all of their supposedly good defensive players have slipped significantly.

luka's not hitting 3's, the team as a whole kinda sucks at it, zingis might be in permanent decline, just no lateral movement. been missing guys for various reason, but even when healthy they havent looked right. josh richardson look not great, they miss sniper seth, its kind of a mess honestly.

i thought theyd have some cap space, but its not a max slot. looks like about $20M in space next year unless they do trades. not sure what they'll do bc they usually swing and miss on big name FAs
