You really have grown since this picture @jaytatum0. You are taller than Red now🙏🏼 Red would not have wanted to pay more taxes to @BernieSanders😂 But Red would have been ok paying you a few thousand extra☘️😂 https://t.co/g2lG8e8K0q— Danny Ainge (@danielrainge) January 23, 2021

i thought he would be a good back up for the celtics this year but im not gonna say he doesnt deserve this
My sources say the death penalty, for espionage, being considered for Jeff Teague. I am pro-life and take no pleasure in reporting this.— wolf (lifelong nets fan) (@_woIfgang) January 23, 2021

Good Lord. According to https://t.co/z3Ysv2BNkM’s admittedly wonky matchup data, Embiid shot 13-of-15 vs. Tristan Thompson in the two-game set, and scored 38 of the 40 Sixers’ points when those two were matched up.— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) January 24, 2021
cool, cool
― lag∞n, Sunday, 24 January 2021 22:06 (five years ago)
i seem to remember embiid mixing it up with marcus smart a few times, i guess after marcus had switched onto him. felt like he was a threat from everywhere, midrange, everything. hard to handle!
― Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Sunday, 24 January 2021 22:24 (five years ago)
Embiid has been playing smarter (and better) this year than I've seen. Less shenanigans (albeit still plenty).
― Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Sunday, 24 January 2021 22:42 (five years ago)
makes you wonder if brett brown ever attempted to rein him in
― micah, Sunday, 24 January 2021 23:16 (five years ago)
i think we know he did not lol
― lag∞n, Sunday, 24 January 2021 23:17 (five years ago)
embiid seems like hes in a little better shape too, still gassed at the end of games but not like totally wrecked
― lag∞n, Sunday, 24 January 2021 23:19 (five years ago)
Yeah, I get the sense Brown the only requirement Brown had was Embiid and Simmons sing Kumbaya.
― Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Sunday, 24 January 2021 23:32 (five years ago)

it was interesting watching brad leave the starters in to end the 3rd. giving everyone a chance to get right and feel good after those tough philly losses.

― lag∞n, Monday, 25 January 2021 02:13 (five years ago)
that's actually crazy. i wonder when tracking started? i would have figured some big center did something like that years ago just posting up over and over.

― lag∞n, Thursday, 28 January 2021 01:34 (five years ago)
spurs need to lose just enough games that they will trade their vets, this could be a good game for that

i caught the last couple mins and don't think i saw a spurs miss?
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 28 January 2021 02:35 (five years ago)
spurs starters looked good to close the half which is weird bc theyre usually a mess the bench has to clean up.
― trans-panda express (m bison), Thursday, 28 January 2021 02:36 (five years ago)
also keldon and lonnie jumping around like excited kids = too pure for this world

― trans-panda express (m bison), Thursday, 28 January 2021 03:06 (five years ago)
its very funny that zone defense was illegal for years in the nba and then after it was legalized for years everyone assumed that you couldnt really use it effectively in the nba, and now its understood to be good actually
― lag∞n, Thursday, 28 January 2021 03:16 (five years ago)
brad mad
Brad Stevens asked about going to zone more: "I'd like to play multiple defenses well, but to do that, we have to at least play one well."— Jared Weiss (@JaredWeissNBA) January 28, 2021
― lag∞n, Thursday, 28 January 2021 04:04 (five years ago)
aw thats harsh they played pretty good D, forced a tun of TOs, they just couldnt get buckets when they needed them.
― trans-panda express (m bison), Thursday, 28 January 2021 05:02 (five years ago)
the spurs hit an insane amount of midrange shots, tough to do much about that
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 28 January 2021 05:07 (five years ago)
they still like to take those
― trans-panda express (m bison), Thursday, 28 January 2021 12:51 (five years ago)
and not just their olds, but the youths
bradley madly
― lag∞n, Thursday, 28 January 2021 13:52 (five years ago)
the spurs hit an insane amount of midrange shots
with so many modern nba defenses concentrating on rim protection and chasing shooters off the three point line, mid-range shots are necessarily more available as good open looks, because it's impossible to defend the whole floor all the time. if you can make 'em at a high enough percentage, they're worth taking in volume.
― Compromise isn't a principle, it's a method (Aimless), Thursday, 28 January 2021 16:42 (five years ago)
sure ive said this before but the idea that the midrange is dead is just not true! the thing that died was the long two, those shots a step or two inside the 3pt line, shots from say inside 18ft havent fallen off much, theres a lot of misleading charts out there
