yeah the fact that the rockets traded levert for a guy who they aren't going to resign tells you what they wanted

just cause the rockets wouldnt target kyrie doesnt mean he wouldnt have been moved AND just because he wouldnt have been moved doesnt mean kyrie believed that, something to think about

lol, I hate him, but he's totally my type of player; jack of all trades, smart (lol), tough defender.

i think the whole point from the nets perspective is to put kyrie, harden and KD together. harden does provide kyrie insurance but that feels like a worst case scenario plan b to me

doesnt mean they wouldnt have moved him if thats what it took

also if may, kyrie-harden-kd is a silly idea, i mean i support it and am interested in seeing how it plays out, but its silly

the too small insult is getting out of hand, guys are doing it ironically now

idk the rockets clearly wanted draft assets. they didn't even take jarrett allen back, the nets had to flip him for a first to throw onto the pile. rockets also turned down ben simmons in all likelihood, if they wanted a star player in return he would've made way more sense than kyrie.

they couldve flipped kyrie tho is what im getting at BUT also it doesnt matter the whole thing couldve existed only in kyries mind AND im not sure why were talking about this so much i just thought it was a funny idea THO obvs like all funny things its funny because its true

happy for sexton, i've never forgotten that he played a chunk of a game in college 3 on 5 and still put up points.

collin sexton singlehandedly beating KD, harden & kyrie in double OT reminds me of when he scored 40 points in college in a game where his team was forced to play 3 on 5 for basically the entire second half

i keep hearing all these analysts saying the "there's only one ball" thing is facile but there are upper limits on possessions per game and offensive efficiency, and the nets may find them while losing to teams like the cavs.

i think it's a nash inexperience problem, regardless of what you think of their rotation there's no reason to be playing KD, harden and kyrie 50 minutes when you have shamet, bruce brown & TLC playing a combined 19 mins. those guys are standard NBA bench players and beating the cavs simply isn't that important to begin with

there have been ppl already pointing out that KD's minutes coming off his injury are a bit concerning... he played 30 mins vs the knicks last week but aside from that he's played at least 36 mins in every game since the new year

yeah that's fair, i don't know what's going on with shamet who has never particularly impressed me but seems to be unplayable now.

It is a weird experiment having the three best iso players in the league on the same team.

it's really hard to parse who is running the nets and what they care about but their actions are that of a team who thinks its window is this year, maybe next.

feel like they're in this weird position where

a. their three stars are 1. coming off an achilles injury 2. famously out of gas in the playoffs 3. out for the season w an injury half the time
b. but need to play a lot together in the regular season to establish on-court chemistry
c. have a first year coach who doesn't seem to have a grasp on how to modulate their minutes to begin with
