yeah the fact that the rockets traded levert for a guy who they aren't going to resign tells you what they wanted

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:48 (five years ago)

just cause the rockets wouldnt target kyrie doesnt mean he wouldnt have been moved AND just because he wouldnt have been moved doesnt mean kyrie believed that, something to think about

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:50 (five years ago)

you know i love marcus, but 3 is too many

lol, I hate him, but he's totally my type of player; jack of all trades, smart (lol), tough defender.

Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:53 (five years ago)

i think the whole point from the nets perspective is to put kyrie, harden and KD together. harden does provide kyrie insurance but that feels like a worst case scenario plan b to me

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:54 (five years ago)

doesnt mean they wouldnt have moved him if thats what it took

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:55 (five years ago)

also if may, kyrie-harden-kd is a silly idea, i mean i support it and am interested in seeing how it plays out, but its silly

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:57 (five years ago)

the too small insult is getting out of hand, guys are doing it ironically now

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:58 (five years ago)

idk the rockets clearly wanted draft assets. they didn't even take jarrett allen back, the nets had to flip him for a first to throw onto the pile. rockets also turned down ben simmons in all likelihood, if they wanted a star player in return he would've made way more sense than kyrie.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 01:59 (five years ago)

they couldve flipped kyrie tho is what im getting at BUT also it doesnt matter the whole thing couldve existed only in kyries mind AND im not sure why were talking about this so much i just thought it was a funny idea THO obvs like all funny things its funny because its true

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:01 (five years ago)

J. B. Bickerstaff might be the best coach in Cavs history. Got these kids playing Harden/Kyrie/KD tough!

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:07 (five years ago)

lmao dwight with a couple truly awful missed layups

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:12 (five years ago)

pretty good game too many fouls tho

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:28 (five years ago)

also i question the decision to single team embiid

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:28 (five years ago)

and also somehow give up a million clean 3s

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:29 (five years ago)

Could you imagine Harden with Embiid? So many free throws.

Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:44 (five years ago)

yeah those two wouldve been extremely difficult to guard

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:46 (five years ago)

But also unwatchable.

Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:47 (five years ago)

Collin Sexton I love you, man

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:48 (five years ago)

I mean, I would have loved it, but the shame would be immense.

Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:48 (five years ago)

xp

Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:48 (five years ago)

i guess its official that colin sexton is good now

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 02:59 (five years ago)

happy for sexton, i've never forgotten that he played a chunk of a game in college 3 on 5 and still put up points.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:04 (five years ago)

collin sexton singlehandedly beating KD, harden & kyrie in double OT reminds me of when he scored 40 points in college in a game where his team was forced to play 3 on 5 for basically the entire second half

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:09 (five years ago)

lol yes!! xp

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:09 (five years ago)

lol wild shit

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:12 (five years ago)

Both James Harden (51) and Kyrie Irving (48) set career-highs in minutes played in tonight's OT loss at Cleveland. Depth might be an issue in Brooklyn.

— Kirk Goldsberry (@kirkgoldsberry) January 21, 2021

also defense! (cant guard colin sexton)

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:16 (five years ago)

durant played 50 minutes too... meanwhile landry shamet who the nets essentially traded a first round pick for got a DNP-CD

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:20 (five years ago)

deandre jordan 24 minutes, jeff green 45 minutes...

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:23 (five years ago)

All this OAKLAND stuff must be super annoying to people who actually live in Oakland.

DJI, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:24 (five years ago)

read some thing that was like "the soul of the warriors lies in oakland" well the you shouldve stayed there then

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:26 (five years ago)

i keep hearing all these analysts saying the "there's only one ball" thing is facile but there are upper limits on possessions per game and offensive efficiency, and the nets may find them while losing to teams like the cavs.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:34 (five years ago)

yeah

lag∞n, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:35 (five years ago)

Pop looks a little evil with his black mask

Wayne Grotski (symsymsym), Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:39 (five years ago)

lol the wolves announcer

what a brutal loss for them... i think they were up by like 15 points at half

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:40 (five years ago)

wolves may end up keeping their pick after all at this rate

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:41 (five years ago)

Nets are gonna have to stagger those 3 dudes somehow but does nash know what he’s doing?

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:41 (five years ago)

Kat should take the season off tbf

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:41 (five years ago)

the wolves are going to have a real, real long season

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:42 (five years ago)

the nets can't stagger because they have something like 8 nba players at the moment

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:42 (five years ago)

Ha true

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:43 (five years ago)

i think it's a nash inexperience problem, regardless of what you think of their rotation there's no reason to be playing KD, harden and kyrie 50 minutes when you have shamet, bruce brown & TLC playing a combined 19 mins. those guys are standard NBA bench players and beating the cavs simply isn't that important to begin with

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:45 (five years ago)

there have been ppl already pointing out that KD's minutes coming off his injury are a bit concerning... he played 30 mins vs the knicks last week but aside from that he's played at least 36 mins in every game since the new year

J0rdan S., Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:48 (five years ago)

yeah that's fair, i don't know what's going on with shamet who has never particularly impressed me but seems to be unplayable now.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:48 (five years ago)

It is a weird experiment having the three best iso players in the league on the same team.

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:48 (five years ago)

it's really hard to parse who is running the nets and what they care about but their actions are that of a team who thinks its window is this year, maybe next.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 January 2021 03:49 (five years ago)

feel like they're in this weird position where

a. their three stars are 1. coming off an achilles injury 2. famously out of gas in the playoffs 3. out for the season w an injury half the time
b. but need to play a lot together in the regular season to establish on-court chemistry
c. have a first year coach who doesn't seem to have a grasp on how to modulate their minutes to begin with
