my fav encapsulation of the season so far is that TNT had the heat-sixers game on tomorrow night but dropped it bcuz the heat only have 8 player. tthe game they picked up to replace it is....... spurs-rockets, lol

it sucks that according to reporting everyone is miserable this season. i myself have been miserable watching most of these games.

Who would of thought starting a season a few weeks after the last one ended while COVID still raged was a bad idea?

i wonder if we're going to look back and realize that it was extremely stupid for the NBA to conclude that bcuz covid transmission rates for baseball and football games are believed to be very low to nonexistent on the field of play that the same would be true for a sport played indoors where 10 players are constantly w/ in 6 feet of each other

To me the big mistake the nba made is being uptight about the contact tracing. Just test people

apparently they made their system based on the general guidelines for people being within 6ft of each other for x number on continuous minutes etc and completely ignored the fact that in their case people were breathing heavily spitting etc right in each other faces, unbelievable

I mean also obviously these guys are by and large probably not taking it very seriously, they're young rich people

I support the one shot free throw but from a psychological experiment perspective I wanna see the players resist doing the high fives
