has there been a comprehensive article published about how the NBA's testing policy actually works? because as a doctor who understands this stuff very well you can't be "diagnosed with covid" and then test negative the next day and now not have covid

so I'm sure there must be an explanation that mostly involves imprecision in the language w/ the way these things are reported by the press but I just want to be sure

havent seen anything

assumed it was just that the tests are unreliable so they were doing another one

assuming they're using PCR tests, which I'm almost certain they are, they're somewhat insensitive (meaning there can be false negatives) but extremely specific (false positives basically don't exist)

prob just some bs a non expert threw in the negotiation process between players/league and everyone was like whatever cause it doesnt really matter

or they might just have one process when u enter the protocol and the two tests are there to weed out the false negatives
