well, in his first four games he shot 14, 17, 16 and 15 free throws. in his last 7 games he’s had one 15 FTA game vs the knicks otherwise he hasn’t shot more than 6 FTs in a game. so *something* has changed since nash complained whether it’s trae, or how he’s defended or how refs call him

he has a chance to be a really special and unique player.

hes a really good scorer elite shooter and good rebounder, whether hell ever figure out the rest of the game is a pretty big question mark imo

the athletic article i took that chart from was extremely critical of his defense and said his playmaking is basically non existent at this point

also said re his scoring that he gets a lot of his looks via off ball play which is pretty cool, im sure many teams would be fine with having a 6-10 knockdown wing who can score without dominating the ball

he's in a pretty great situation playing with a guy who is like a walking top 5 offense in the NBA. the playmaking aspect of his game may never need to be developed given his teammates, the defense is a different story tho

being tall helps a lot like even duncan robinson is somewhat passable on defense just bcuz of his height, and he's shorter than NPJ and a worse athlete. but i'm curious how much of a physical pounding he will be able to give/take on defense given his back issues
