im sure the league knows that this will just result in fake injuries, which i guess is preferable

Yahoo Sources: NBA implementing new resting policy for 2020-21 season with teams prohibited from resting healthy players for any high-profile, nationally-televised game and violation could result in a fine of at least $100,000.

what they could do, now hear me out, is create a schedule in which every game matters

lag∞n, Monday, 7 December 2020 17:16 (five years ago)

kawhi’s looking at that fine number like, shit it isn’t my money

J0rdan S., Monday, 7 December 2020 17:30 (five years ago)

This seems to create perverse incentives to not want to be on national TV

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 7 December 2020 17:32 (five years ago)

Kawhis rep took a hit last season. wonder if he'll play it differently this year.

frogbs, Tuesday, 8 December 2020 20:47 (five years ago)

I do not like James Harden, I don’t like watching him, but the nuggets should trade for him. It makes sense.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 8 December 2020 23:34 (five years ago)

Why would you want harden and Jokic on the same team?

Spottie, Tuesday, 8 December 2020 23:47 (five years ago)

i feel like the big questions re trading for harden are

1. will he play off the ball some
2. will he dial back the weird dickishness a bit

if both are yes then it makes sense for many teams to put together big offers for him, if both are no then its big problem

lag∞n, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:00 (five years ago)

also worth considering that he will be making ~1/3 the tax line in a couple years, according to someone on twitter

lag∞n, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:03 (five years ago)

matt you are insane

k3vin k., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:26 (five years ago)

Why would you want harden and Jokic on the same team?

― Spottie, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 6:47 PM (thirty-nine minutes ago)

i think harden and jokic could absolutely play on the same team. jokic is a great fit for harden since he doesn't need or want the ball.

the real question is why you would want james harden and jamal murray on the same team

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:28 (five years ago)

jokic touches the ball like three different times every possession

k3vin k., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:36 (five years ago)

youd proles have to trade jamal anyway

micah, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:36 (five years ago)

regardless of where harden goes he's going to have to alter his playing style of dribbling for 20 seconds every possession... if you were trying to find a second star to fit w/ him a player who derives a lot of his offensive value from a skill other than scoring would be a good place to start

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:41 (five years ago)

the nuggets would never do it but selling high on jamal murray for james harden would be an interesting idea

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:42 (five years ago)

it's just incredibly hard for me to picture harden on a team that isn't set up to cater to his every whim. like why would any team with decent chemistry take the risk?

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:47 (five years ago)

cause he puts the ball in the ring

lag∞n, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 00:58 (five years ago)

unless he doesn't feel like it

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 01:08 (five years ago)

look I happen to love harden as a player but in no way do I want him on the nuggets. I guess I’m the opposite of matt

k3vin k., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 02:42 (five years ago)

also he’s an asshole, this going out to clubs during a pandemic shit has really pissed me off

k3vin k., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 02:43 (five years ago)

yeah, very uncool

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 03:05 (five years ago)

but the wings

the serious avant-garde universalist right now (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 9 December 2020 05:51 (five years ago)

If you have Harden and Jokic on the same team can you ever really trap Harden? You get Jokic going 4 on 3 at the free throw line a ton.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 15:16 (five years ago)

harden is one of the greatest scorers in the history of the game teams gotta at least consider this, i mean if he wasnt weird and bad in ways it would be a no brainer

lag∞n, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 15:31 (five years ago)

itd be hilarious if he got traded to utah

Kompakt Total Landscaping (Will M.), Wednesday, 9 December 2020 17:08 (five years ago)

this has nothing to do wit the team and everything to do with utah

Kompakt Total Landscaping (Will M.), Wednesday, 9 December 2020 17:09 (five years ago)

exiled to sacramento would karmically correct

Giannis Antetokounmpo, when asked about his contract, says: "Right now, I am not focused on that. I am just trying to focus on myself."

He adds that he is leaving those discussions to his agent, Alex Saratsis, and the front office.

is that right?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 20:51 (five years ago)

is his agent going to forge his signature or....?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 20:51 (five years ago)

It would be cool if Giannis just dedicated himself to having the bucks pay him a billion dollars in salary

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 20:53 (five years ago)

I'm not thinking about the milwaukee bucks, I'm thinking about the giannis bucks

k3vin k., Wednesday, 9 December 2020 22:03 (five years ago)

welp lol
