maybe i'm being too literal but i feel like bam exposed the major hole in the celtics roster in the ECF and this is the one guy in the draft ppl see in that vein

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:03 (five years ago)

thats totally reasonable imo, also just generally their center rotation got completely wrecked all playoffs, have no particular idea how the celtics are thinking about it tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:05 (five years ago)

Zach Lowe discussing Celtics/Hayward on The Jump:

"For a possible trade, I would keep my my eye on Indiana. ... For free agency, Atlanta has been rumored. I'm not sure if that's a stalking horse. I'd keep my eye on Charlotte."

Added "everything is on the table." pic.twitter.com/qM7FvdlMfK

another solution to the center issue cld be.... myles turner tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:09 (five years ago)

i don't really understand what gordon heyward is up to -- windhorst was throwing out cleveland as a possible destination. i don't understand why he wouldn't just opt in and play this year out before going into a better FA market next year

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:20 (five years ago)

a trade to the hawks w/ the understanding that he will re-sign there isn't crazy to me since they theoretically have a future... but charlotte and cleveland? what on earth

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:22 (five years ago)

maybe doesnt want to risk yet again another injury

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:22 (five years ago)

imo hes posturing for leverage or something like that

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:24 (five years ago)

Probably needs time to decompress after the election

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:30 (five years ago)

"The belief among league observers is that the Celtics have targeted Memphis center James Wiseman, looking to upgrade their frontcourt while keeping their core together. The Celtics have also entertained talks for Gordon Hayward in a potential sign-and-trade and Kemba Walker." https://t.co/AfRr1NSFKT

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:33 (five years ago)

makes sense except for the part where they need a higher pick than 14 for that

ciderpress, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:34 (five years ago)

yeah this was also my not-very-complex analysis. go deep in the playoffs these days and you're likely going to run up against a good center that can change the series.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 21:35 (five years ago)

draymond and smart on the same team would really be something

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:01 (five years ago)

yes but the celtics are not allowed to trade him

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:04 (five years ago)

oops

More to come at @TheAthleticNBA, but an update here on the Bucks-Kings Bogdan Bogdanovic situation. pic.twitter.com/mN2GOaLoKJ

this is real weird. i was listening to lowe and windhorst today and they were saying with some confidence that giannis had been in touch with bogdan and that bogdan was enthusiastic about playing with giannis to the point that he was willing to take a little less money.

yikes

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:25 (five years ago)

The Sixers are trading Al Horford and a first-round and second-round pick to the Thunder for Danny Green, sources tell ESPN.

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:26 (five years ago)

thunder need more picks

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:28 (five years ago)

Presti fucking rules lol

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:30 (five years ago)

They’re making the playoffs, I’m telling you

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:31 (five years ago)

presti is killing it man alive.

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:32 (five years ago)

IIRC the thunder now have 17 first round picks over the next 6 years

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:33 (five years ago)

They’re making the playoffs, I’m telling you

― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 3:31 PM (one minute ago) bookmarkflaglink

we gotta see what their roster ends up being but atm i dont see a path with sga and horford and whatever else

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:33 (five years ago)

theyre going to flip adams soon right?

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:33 (five years ago)

good signing, sixers.

la table sur la table (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:46 (five years ago)

The Sixers are sending a lightly-protected 2025 first-round pick and the 34th overall pick in tonight's draft, sources tell ESPN. The Thunder are also sending Terrance Ferguson to the Sixers with Green. https://t.co/sDCfPo4T4L

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 18, 2020

seems like a bit of a sweetheart deal to take on that horford contract

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 18 November 2020 22:49 (five years ago)

lets see if they can do better than the celtics who turned a similarly big chest of picks into a good but not dominant team

ciderpress, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:05 (five years ago)

this all ends with the thunder getting james harden back

la table sur la table (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:15 (five years ago)

and russ #WhyNot

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:21 (five years ago)

Barring a blockbuster, I hear the Timberwolves are likely to keep the No. 1 pick.

I saw someone have Killian Hayes ranked number 1, do you guys know anything about him?

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:24 (five years ago)

KOC loves him
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z31Mp5nq61c

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:25 (five years ago)

i desperately want harden/russ/durant starting for OKC by 2025

Four Seasons Total Manscaping (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:26 (five years ago)

big concern about hayes is lack of nba athleticism. i think koc is nuts for this ranking but hayes might be ok.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:33 (five years ago)

i think koc sees shades of harden, but idk. he'll be picked probably somewhere between 6-13.

discourse stu (m bison), Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:34 (five years ago)

idk why KOC should be trusted on scouting draft picks aside from bill simmons decreeing it

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:41 (five years ago)

givony & schmitz have at least been enmeshed in the scouting community for years, traveling around the world etc. they're much lower on guys like hayes & avdija

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:43 (five years ago)

yeah its like he decided that was his guy and just went for it.

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:43 (five years ago)

that's totally it, going with a gut feeling in a draft without many exciting prospects.

la table sur la table (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:48 (five years ago)

f this

Klay Thompson was unable to place weight on his lower leg injury leaving the gym today, sources said. Everyone is hoping for the best. https://t.co/kcxYJczNmX

— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) November 18, 2020

Spottie, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:53 (five years ago)

Houston is trading Trevor Ariza and the No. 16 pick tonight to Detroit for a future first-round pick, sources tell ESPN. The deal gives the Rockets - a hard-capped team -- the freedom to use their mid-level exception in free agency.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 18, 2020

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:53 (five years ago)

oh man poor klay

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:53 (five years ago)

The Rockets are purchasing Detroit's 2021 second-round pick -- via the Lakers -- for $4.6M, sources tell ESPN.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 18, 2020

with whose money?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:54 (five years ago)

Klay's injury supposedly isn't the leg that he injured previously. Hoping for the best.

Fetchboy, Wednesday, 18 November 2020 23:57 (five years ago)

Wow this is an action packed draft already

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 19 November 2020 00:07 (five years ago)

givony & schmitz have at least been enmeshed in the scouting community for years, traveling around the world etc. they're much lower on guys like hayes & avdija

Sometimes seeing a guy too often makes you too pessimistic imo

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 19 November 2020 00:08 (five years ago)

man i dont know if i can watch the draft now im too depressed

Exchanged texts with Mychal Thompson. He did not shed any light on Klay's status but the tone of his reply was quite sober for Mychal.

— Monte Poole (@MontePooleNBCS) November 19, 2020

Spottie, Thursday, 19 November 2020 00:09 (five years ago)

Avdija is a divisive prospect, kind of reminds me of Saric that way

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 19 November 2020 00:09 (five years ago)

god that sucks for klay
