listened to that pod they said something that i hadn't really thought about that 34M next year isn't really worth that much, a lot of it will be in escrow and probably won't get paid out due to revenue crunch, whereas a longer contract that pays out money 2 or 3 years from now is a lot more likely to be worth the stated value.

although im pretty sure i do not like tristan thompson, i am willing to approach with an open mind, he was an occasional beast with lebron getting every rebound dominating physically and so forth and is still not yet 30

i think with thompson the hope has to be that getting out of cleveland results in some natural bounceback. he's not exactly what they need but he's been a great playoff player in the past so maybe they can catch some lightning in a bottle at the right time.

at the very least he shd be available when theis is getting destroyed by a very big man, best case he plays well enough to take the starting spot
