i don't think it will change any behaviors but it is certainly a cautionary tale. they should stay the course, i think there's a reasonable case that the restart and the bubble were harder on them than any other team.

otoh, paul george might not be an elite player anymore.

i think they would have wanted to figure it out toward the end of a normal regular season. they just have a really weird team that is based on two superstar* starters and two excellent bench players and for a lot of reasons they never had a chance to make that combination make sense in the playoffs.
