Just seemed like with Ibaka coming so far out he got whatever look over Kanter he would've got otherwise. But maybe that extra step Ibaka took (moving screen?) took him by surprise?

That may have been the worst game Westbrook has ever played they are so much better with like mclemore getting those minutes right now. Classic rockets shoot themselves into a game then shoot themselves out of a game.

I got an 8, better than I expected.

I've been paying attention to basketball my whole life and I have never heard the term "tag and cleanse" - I get the idea of "cleansing" (stepping out of the lane, I guess) to avoid the 3 second call, but tagging? Does simply touching an offensive player reset a defensive player's time in the lane?

I clicked the link with that one but I don't subscribe to the Athletic.

yeah it resets - defensive 3 seconds only applies if youre not closely guarding a player

I got 1/1. I had to re-run the first clip six or seven times, play it through once in stop-motion, squint to read the jersey numbers because I don't know most of the Celtics. Took two minutes--too much work.

i definitely had to watch each clip multiple times, first just to square up what players were where even when i know all the guys on the floor, then to watch the on-ball action, then to watch the off-ball actions as many times as i needed to.

if it's this hard to analyze nba defense, it gives a great appreciation for how hard it must be to design, coach, and execute!

pretty much everyone on the clippers is like 28 or older and very physically mature i get why malone would temper porter mins with millsap. nuggs could use an olynyk type player at the back up big position who can fake it at center but not clog up their spacing on offense. millsap and plumlee aren’t bringing anything in this series except muscles
