i just don't understand like... embiid is clearly a great player. but how in 2020 does it make sense to spend 19 seconds every possession trying to get a post touch for your center? what am i missing?

the sixers effort on defense in this game has been absolutely atrocious

they don't pressure the ball, they don't get set, they're walking when the celtics are running right at them. we laugh at brett brown but this is the actual fireable stuff.

one thing that's becoming more obvious to me is that in addition to not getting in shape, embiid hasn't really worked on his game. his handle could be better. his post moves could be better. he could do some work to turn the ball over less.

pretty much every team in the bubble is playing or has played w/o a really important player and that currently includes in the east playoffs indiana, boston, orlando, and brooklyn. and yet philly is the only team that is noncompetitive, looks like it has never practiced, has no idea what to do, nobody cares etc. the franchise needs a full overhaul, just terrible vibes.

worst playoff vibes so far have been philly and the lakers, only three days but i'm going to enjoy these three days

Brett Brown was a bad coach from day 1. They kept him because all the ways he found to lose close games were actually helpful to their overall plan.

it seems clear that among other things hinkie would have moved on from brown by now. the equity he got from staying the course through the hinkie/colangelo/brand clusterfuck is part of what's killing them now on the floor.
