Happy the blazers won cos they have a chance to make it interesting vs the lakers. Gary Trent jr is so good seems like he’s just one of those guys that does the right thing every play. Melo was pretty bad this game but they have no other options so he gets enough burn to make a shot or two when it matters. At least you know you’ve got a guy out there who isn’t afraid of the moment.

Really impressed by the Grizz. They are set up for a long time and way ahead of schedule. They add justice Winslow next season too, would be nice if he could play more then 40 games in a season.

Spottie, Sunday, 16 August 2020 05:57 (five years ago)

I stan Dame and co but I think LA is going to absolutely steamroll the blazers, who’ve spent the past week winning exhausting nail biters vs teams who were either crippled or had nothing to play for.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Sunday, 16 August 2020 14:50 (five years ago)

yeah that team is gassed and broken going up against bron who has been on vacation this whole time

methinks dababy doth bop shit too much (m bison), Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:08 (five years ago)

even if they were well rested i dont see how they start to defend bron or brow

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:16 (five years ago)

like who are the guys they even start on them

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:16 (five years ago)

It’s pretty crazy that they didn’t replace their wing defenders at all. Not even just a cheap role player. Like Torrey Craig would probably be playing 30 mpg for them against the lakers

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:26 (five years ago)

sadly otm on the blazers, they're gonna need to score 160 a game the way they're defending

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:42 (five years ago)

if they had ariza with them that would have helped but the lakers are just a bad matchup for them.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:48 (five years ago)

carmelo vs lebron, baby!

circles, Sunday, 16 August 2020 16:33 (five years ago)

Melo shouldn't guard LeBron more than five minutes a game, and then only if they run lots of screens to switch Melo onto him deliberately. Ariza will be sorely missed.

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Sunday, 16 August 2020 16:40 (five years ago)

Ariza, harkless, aminu... they needed a guy like that

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 August 2020 17:46 (five years ago)

i've already forgotten that they were in the conference finals last year

ciderpress, Sunday, 16 August 2020 17:46 (five years ago)

Curry torched em

Spottie, Sunday, 16 August 2020 17:50 (five years ago)

So apparently Jimmy Butler wasn't kidding about the up-charge for the use of his French Press at Disney. (From Meyers Leonard's Twitter): pic.twitter.com/1s1em6flRG

good old Jimmy, doesn't care about the attention, just wants to win

I like to imagine jimmy is preparing the coffee for you

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 August 2020 21:42 (five years ago)

CJ McCollum has a vinyard now. Shooting guard beverages.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 August 2020 22:37 (five years ago)

apparently he's keeping the ambient temp in his hotel room at 54 degrees so he can store all the wine he brought

call all destroyer, Sunday, 16 August 2020 23:02 (five years ago)

lol!

k3vin k., Sunday, 16 August 2020 23:07 (five years ago)

Too bad Popovich isn't in the bubble now for CJ to swap wine talk with.

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Sunday, 16 August 2020 23:49 (five years ago)

first thing to talk to him about is a wine fridge

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 August 2020 23:51 (five years ago)

had to look up what a red eye is. its an abomination

micah, Monday, 17 August 2020 00:05 (five years ago)

which team do you guys think should sign J. Cole for the playoffs?

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 17 August 2020 00:38 (five years ago)

charlotte

lag∞n, Monday, 17 August 2020 00:45 (five years ago)

Conley out of the bubble for the birth of his child. Thought the Jazz were going to be hard pressed to keep that series close to begin with, now it’s really hard to figure how they keep pace offensively unless Mitchell does a Dame impression

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Monday, 17 August 2020 01:28 (five years ago)

Barton and Harris still not back but they’re probably less important than Conley

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 17 August 2020 01:37 (five years ago)

i guess he'll miss 2 or 3 games? tough sledding for utah.

call all destroyer, Monday, 17 August 2020 01:55 (five years ago)

bojan out too

lag∞n, Monday, 17 August 2020 01:55 (five years ago)

conley had a seriously garbage reg season, did he turn it up in the bub?

Clay, Monday, 17 August 2020 02:03 (five years ago)

his stats don't look amazing but i did hear a few media people saying he looked better/more comfortable. i just think it has to be all hands on deck for utah at this point.

call all destroyer, Monday, 17 August 2020 02:30 (five years ago)

idk what changed, but conley played a lot better once he came back from a hamstring strain in january. it was mostly those first two months that were really bad.

circles, Monday, 17 August 2020 03:00 (five years ago)

if either team wins the series handily it will be denver but i still see a pretty hard fought 6 or 7 game series. mitchell will be the best player on the floor in at least a few of the games imo and it should be a series where gobert can stay on the floor the whole time. will be interesting to see how they deal with jokic playing out of the high post and how much that draws gobert away from the rim but there’s not many guards on denver who can put pressure on him off the dribble or on switches. i would still take denver in 6 prob but i don’t think they have an extra gear they’re gonna hit or anything.

J0rdan S., Monday, 17 August 2020 03:45 (five years ago)

will also be curious to see how much impact porter jr has with an above average wing defender checking him every game

J0rdan S., Monday, 17 August 2020 03:47 (five years ago)

its the playoffs baby

lag∞n, Monday, 17 August 2020 13:26 (five years ago)

Denver swept the Jazz this season and Jokic pretty much dominated so I don’t see the Jazz doing this

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 17 August 2020 15:42 (five years ago)

Honestly don’t see the Jazz being able to do too much to guard MPJ

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 17 August 2020 15:48 (five years ago)

I presume they put O’Neal on him most of the time

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 17 August 2020 15:49 (five years ago)

presumably. if porter jr blazes thru the series that would be impressive. he will no doubt get some buckets in games but i'm curious to see how he holds up w/ teams strategizing how to attack him on both ends

J0rdan S., Monday, 17 August 2020 17:02 (five years ago)

I fuckin love MPJ

k3vin k., Monday, 17 August 2020 18:17 (five years ago)

the only reason the jazz are in this game is because jordan clarkson hit two ridiculous shots at the end of the first quarter

k3vin k., Monday, 17 August 2020 18:21 (five years ago)

ok that donovan mitchell dunk was one of the most impressive I've ever seen

k3vin k., Monday, 17 August 2020 18:21 (five years ago)

Jamal Murray makes it impossible for me to believe that the hot hand doesn’t exist

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 17 August 2020 18:32 (five years ago)

it exists until it doesnt... ergo it doesnt exist

lag∞n, Monday, 17 August 2020 18:34 (five years ago)

double clutch dunk was insane

Spottie, Monday, 17 August 2020 18:35 (five years ago)

Bubble officiating...

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 17 August 2020 18:39 (five years ago)
