Happy the blazers won cos they have a chance to make it interesting vs the lakers. Gary Trent jr is so good seems like he’s just one of those guys that does the right thing every play. Melo was pretty bad this game but they have no other options so he gets enough burn to make a shot or two when it matters. At least you know you’ve got a guy out there who isn’t afraid of the moment.

Really impressed by the Grizz. They are set up for a long time and way ahead of schedule. They add justice Winslow next season too, would be nice if he could play more then 40 games in a season.

if they had ariza with them that would have helped but the lakers are just a bad matchup for them.

Melo shouldn't guard LeBron more than five minutes a game, and then only if they run lots of screens to switch Melo onto him deliberately. Ariza will be sorely missed.

conley had a seriously garbage reg season, did he turn it up in the bub?

his stats don't look amazing but i did hear a few media people saying he looked better/more comfortable. i just think it has to be all hands on deck for utah at this point.

idk what changed, but conley played a lot better once he came back from a hamstring strain in january. it was mostly those first two months that were really bad.

if either team wins the series handily it will be denver but i still see a pretty hard fought 6 or 7 game series. mitchell will be the best player on the floor in at least a few of the games imo and it should be a series where gobert can stay on the floor the whole time. will be interesting to see how they deal with jokic playing out of the high post and how much that draws gobert away from the rim but there’s not many guards on denver who can put pressure on him off the dribble or on switches. i would still take denver in 6 prob but i don’t think they have an extra gear they’re gonna hit or anything.

will also be curious to see how much impact porter jr has with an above average wing defender checking him every game
